Thanks, I'll update the spreadsheet tomorrow morning.
You should get your application approved before October for sure. However, I would simply wait. If you don't get the
application approved by beginning of September, you can still apply for the BOWP then. That saves you the application fee now,
and who knows, maybe you don't even need the BOWP.
I expect our applications to be approved 1-2 months from now.

That sounds great! Thanks for the quick reply too! (Do you live here? ;D)

Guys, any more MRs today? Any idea how many pending for Aug batch?

From the August spreadsheet, out of 85 applicants 60 got MR. I am guessing few more got MRs but they are not active anymore.

Wish we have more applicants receiving Medical Request today. I have already made an appointment with a doctor in England. The examination cost me a fortune. It is approximately £320 (CAD $570). It drives me mad!

Is this price just for your own.., or for your dependents as well? How long did you wait for an appontment in UK?
Thanks :)

Just for myself. It is utterly ridiculous. I called various approved medical practices and they all charge the same amount. The wait was not long though. For some medical practices, you could visit the doctor on the same day. I suspect that there are not many applicants in the UK. Having said that, on the day of IELTS exam, I came across two British nationals who had to sit the exam because of the Canadian immigration policies. It goes without saying that they were not happy about enduring the unnecessary pain of IELTS exam :)

Could be. But at the same time I believe on Trackitt some August applicants only got their MR in the last couple days... It's really unpredictable!

Guys,

I applied on Spet 3rd and last night around 10:30 EST, CIC sent me an email to request an updated employment reference letter and T4 for 2013. I guess my MR will delay due to this requirement. I will send those required info to CIC today. Finger crossed.

Jclu, is there a reason why you need an updated reference letter? Was there no date on it or not enough information? Seems like cic is giving applicants a second chance their reference isn't the best rather than rejecting

The reference letter that I sent with my application wasn't dated.
Here is the letter I got last night.

Hi Jclu, send an updated letter with dates. Take a printout of this email and show it to your employer (if necessary). They need the dates to confirm the 12 month experience. Act swiftly as CIC gave you only 30 days.

Since you got this email last night, I am guessing you would have been gotten MR instead if the letter was written properly.

Good luck.

I am in the same boat as JCLU
I was expecting medical today, but got a document request

Got an email today
