September 2013 Applications

I am planning to submit my application on 3rd week of September , meanwhile I am little confused with one post where he claims, some people says that if you are in ICT ( Intra Company Transfer WP) then you are by default considered under Skill A level, but I did not find anything related to this on CIC website.

Actually my NOC code is 2283 (Skill level B) ( As per my WP) and I am doing same work since last 2 years, but my IELTS result comes under CLB 5 ( just fail to score 6 in Listening) , my Listening score is 5.5 i.e. CLB 6, but other section I did well and scored more than 6 ( more than CLB 7)

Anyone can help here? ( kindly check the below post)

Where did you read this? Can you post a link? Haven't heard of that before.

Your NOC 2283 is skill level B, correct. In order to being eligible under CEC class you will need the following results:
Reading 4.0
Writing 5.0
Listening 5.0
Speaking 5.0

I tried. If I click on the topic I just get send back to CEC topic overview. Maybe the topic got deleted or something.

Hi ,

I am planning to apply for PR and scored 6.5 in IELTS. NOC code for me is 2283. Though CIC website says 5 is enough for this job level, I heard people saying that, all those who came here with Intra Company Transfer Category by default goes under NOC level A and has to score IETLS 6 for sections.

below is my IETLS scores. Is that correct and Do I need appear for the English exam again ?

Ya, I don't know man, never heard of that before. And never read about that either, why would ICT automatically
be skill level A? Doesn't make sense at all.
I would just go ahead and apply with your current language results, as they're sufficient for skill level B ( 2283 ).

Thanks for your advice, I will go with 2283, as I am working with NOC 2283 since last 2 years. And also I did lot of analysis and did not find any clue, why ICT WP will be considered by default under Skill A? So I have decided to go with this result and NOC 2283

Hi Guys, I just got my reference letter with the following duties. NOC Code : 2281 Please advise if its all correct. Thanks

 Supporting existing domains and networks for clients and some desktop support.
 Monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), computer workstations and connections to the Internet.
 Manage IP networking/subneting and modern WiFi Technologies.
 Installation and troubleshooting of internet equipment (Routers, wireless panels, modems etc.), networking software, operating system software and applications.
 Designing, building and supporting network camera systems (IP & Analog).
 Operate and maintain monitoring software to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.
 Aiding in the installation and commissioning on IP camera systems and networks.
 Provide troubleshooting services to the internet users on-site or over the phone.
 Observing network traffic for optimal system performance and implementing security software to prevent unauthorized access.
 Perform regular configuration backups and recovery operations of Internet equipment.
 Control and implement the use of e-mail technologies (POP3, IMAP), and common mail clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail etc.)

Sounds good. Duties match NOC 2281.

I entered my details and submitted. However I noticed that the sheet is not updated!

Can someone please check the spreadsheet update form I put in my signature? Wanna make
sure the form is working and we're all set for September.
Just input basic information like username, NOC, visa office and maybe date when you plan to submit.
Let me know if were having issues with the form.
