Toronto2013 said:Suggest you write to CIC. I wrote to them and they shocked me by saying my application is stagnant because I didn't complete medicals though I fid them in March last year. My MP got the response that security checks are in progress.

Jalex23 said:No, 13 months is the expected time for 80% of the applications to be completed.
That reads like this: 1 out of 5 applications will take longer than 13 months.
Do you have your receipt from that day? That is what you will need to submit to verify that you did the medicals on that date.
This is unfortunate.
Sometimes security takes a long while due to very frustrating reasons. For example your name can match with someone with a criminal record. This makes the process take much more time. This has been reported several times and its out of CIC's hands to do this as it is RCMP duty to verify you are not that criminal.

Thanks. I emailed the receipt again to CIC. I had sent the receipt in May2014 as well. Hope there will be some progress.

A review of your application indicates that your medicals will expire soon. In order for us to apply for an extension, we require an updated residence history for the past two years.
You can send a scanned copy as a reply to this email.
Can some one let me know what is the form to update residence history? Thanks
