Reach out to your local MP and ask for his assistance.

I received an email today from CIC where they said that my application is stagnant because I did not complete medical examination. This is surprising. I had done upfront medicals in Mar 2014 and my doctor confirmed that he uploaded the results in Mar 2014. In fact CIC also confirmed to me through email that they received RPRF payment and medicals.

I don't know what to do now. Should I go for another medicals? I replied to CIC asking the same. Hope they reply.

My MP contacted CIC yesterday and received the response that security check is going on and today CIC sent me this email saying medicals are pending. Wonder what is going on there.

Suggest you write to CIC. I wrote to them and they shocked me by saying my application is stagnant because I didn't complete medicals though I fid them in March last year. My MP got the response that security checks are in progress.

No, 13 months is the expected time for 80% of the applications to be completed.

That reads like this: 1 out of 5 applications will take longer than 13 months.

Do you have your receipt from that day? That is what you will need to submit to verify that you did the medicals on that date.

This is unfortunate.

Sometimes security takes a long while due to very frustrating reasons. For example your name can match with someone with a criminal record. This makes the process take much more time. This has been reported several times and its out of CIC's hands to do this as it is RCMP duty to verify you are not that criminal.

I guess I'll email them again asking how long it's going to take because it's getting frustrating now!!

As I explained, security clearances are done by RCMP, CIC only submits the info and recieves a reply.

So don't expect much.

Thanks. I emailed the receipt again to CIC. I had sent the receipt in May2014 as well. Hope there will be some progress.

CIC replied to me with the below response

A review of your application indicates that your medicals will expire soon. In order for us to apply for an extension, we require an updated residence history for the past two years.

You can send a scanned copy as a reply to this email.

Can some one let me know what is the form to update residence history? Thanks

Thank you Jalex. Though the link didn't provide any specific information, I had sent the two years history in a word document. Hope CIC will accept it.

I gave +1 to you for referring me to the link. Appreciate it.
