I think am really very unlucky person among September applicants.I have requested for GCMS notes in May first week and haven't received yet.. really sad about cic processing process..They are not processing few of our's applications...It's really frustrating..The process is gone to December applicants and still we are waiting for a response..really feeling sad for being here..When they ask to submit additional documents within 30 days, why can't process those documents atleast in 60 days..????
Jalex23 said:Please people be patient. CIC website shows clearly that the average processing time for CEC PR application is 13 months.... we are in month 10....
Yes people get it earlier so this is a clear sign they are doing a great job.
We didn't get that lucky. That is fine and within budget.
So intead of complaining and saying bad things about CIC look at things in perspective, CIC is withing estimated time, so nothing to argue here.

I agree with Jalex, we were told upfront of the processing time, I don't think we should be complaining now or rather at all as we are in the processing period. And paying tax has nothing to do with becoming a resident. Our tax gets us medical and health coverage and other benefits. Our tax does not pay their salaries.Emily_CEC said:Complaint could make them work more effectively. At least, they should let us know what happened, or what we are lack of. After all, all of us paid processing fees and all of us are tax payers.

Emily_CEC, hate to call you out, but check your attitude towards this, becoming a resident first followed by citizen eventually is a privilege and not a birth or tax right for us.
I say lets wait and hope for the best. I am waiting as well and many others are waiting. When it has to happen it will.
Emily_CEC said:Ok, bafakih, could you tell me where the officers' salaries come from? Are you satisfy with the Canadian effectiveness? Why Canada is lagging further and further behind the US these years?
Additionally, this forum is a platform for all applicants to communicate with each other. We can express what we think here. We can encourage each other, and we can also complain together. What's wrong?
Finally, we could tolerate the 13 months processing time, but that doesn't mean we could blindly wait. What we want to know is the reason why we delay compared to most of september applicants, not just a "under processing" reply, because the ECAS has already told us it's under processing.
bafakih said:Emily: if Canadian effectiveness is an issue for you and if you feel like US is a lot faster in processing applications, then please move to the US. When the US Immigration department keeps you waiting for 8 years for a Green card and then another 5 years for the Citizenship then you will appreciate your Canadian counter part. Your tax dollars pay for your medical and health which you don't have to pay for when you visit the doctor.
Encouraging means giving people hope and staying positive, encouraging does not mean questioning, spreading anger and hate.
I hope not, but if you cross your 13 month mark and still do not get your PR, you may complain, but even then you do not have the right to be condescending and say things like who pays for their salary. Like I said, its a privilege to become PR in this country and not our right. Please understand that and at the least be respectful to CIC officers. Every month they get new applications files and they are doing their best to keep everyone happy.
Emily I am sadden by your attitude as such attitude is not needed in this world, we should all promote respect and understanding for each other. I can only hope this process teaches you something good other than hate.
