September 2013 Applications

I have been lurking on this board ever since I applied (and probably even before)
I've used the info here to calculate my own timeline and I must say that it helped me alleviate a whole lot of my anxiety..as I've managed to predict my timeline +/- a day or two!

I felt bad at the thought that the info here have helped me so much, and i've been too lazy to contribute myself.
So, this is me contributing.

MR: April 1, 2014
Booked my Medical Exam for Apr. 7, 2014 in Oakville ... cost: $150+/- (office does eMedical)

Update1: It's $150(medical) + 45(blood) + $7.76 (xray) = $202 +/-

I'm 5 days away from receiving a set of GCMS notes, hopefully those will give me some insight on what's the status
with my application :
Requested the notes beginning of March after completing the upfront medicals.

Guys, just sharing some random thoughts while waiting for MR ..ever since I came to Canada, and started working, it always boggles my mind, I've never seen such a culturally diverse place.
Pick any public place, and you find all different nationalities ..which is awesome ..even more diverse than the US.
This is the diversity in which we are all going to integrate soon, some already have ..and I always believe we have to keep a good sense of humor about ourselves, be able to joke and laugh once in a while at our own differences and silly ways, but be together as one ..this is a healthy mix and a healthy attitude to keep..

I've seen a lot of people immigrating here, and sticking hard to their customs, to the point that they don't integrate at a healthy level with Canadian society, refuse to even understand other cultures and how/why they do things the way they do. This causes negative differences.

Keeping your own traditional values is important, but understanding and accepting others' is also equally important. Exciting times ahead for all of us .. I know it's hard to think of things like this while waiting anxiously for our MRs and other updates after. Lets keep a sense of humor about this guys .. and keep smiling .. (not too much though ..CAMH is watching ..lol ) ..

Hopefull CIC will not find my application too much diverse and thus rejected.

You'll be ok byrwus, remember CEC is a fact based application process, if you meet the requirements, and have the paperwork to back it up, you're in ..
There is no gray area like applying through marriage, and other avenues ..where they look at you shifty eyed ..lol
