Hi everyone!

I have a question. I booked an appointment with the doctor early April thinking that i might have my MR around that time. If i don't get my MR do you think i should still go to this appointment, and if so am I supposed to bring any specific papers to make sure that the doctor will send my results correctly?
I am worried because the doctor told me to bring the documents that CEC department will send me but if i don't have these papers is it fine?
When did you file your application? You can still go through the Medical. Just tell your Doctor, that you want to do 'Upfront Medical'.

Has anyone sent the BOWP copy to CIC? on the BOWP, the UCI is the same as old WP. So is it necessary to update CIC on the new BOWP? or should I wait till I get the TRV and then send both to CIC?Thanks

You don't have to update CIC with your new work permit or TRV, as CIC is the issuing authority :)

My case seems little different. Though my application reached CIC on 9th September, I still need to submit the PCC of Singapore. So I should get the Singapore PCC request first before my MR, correct?

I don't think you would get a request for that PCC, it's your duty to send it to CIC, if you haven't done so at the time you sent
your application package. You were supposed to send the PCC as soon as you received it.
So if you already have it by now, send it to CIC as soon as possible following the instructions on my website

Hi Toby

I had submitted the PCCs of all the other countries I had stayed, except for Singapore. Singapore will not issue the PCC without a formal request from CIC. So I need to wait for the CIC to ask for Singapore PCC.

Cheers,
Kunishsa

Oh, I see. Well in that case you will have to wait for the request, yes. Sorry, didn't know you needed an official request from CIC for that PCC.

Yeah. Please check the below link for details. Singapore is different and I am unfortunate to wait longer than most of our September applicants for PR :)

Well, maybe you're lucky and they don't even request the PCC from Singapore ;)

So based on the timeline, you could get MR any day now. So I don't think you need to cancel your appointment. Also you can just call your doctor and confirm the documents you need to bring & let him know about upfront medical (if you don't get Medical request by that time).

Hi Toby,

I was going through the document checklist for PR application. It mentions copy of most recent work permit. I had submitted my WP from 2012 along with PR application. Now I have the new WP which BOWP. So I am wondering is it required to submit the most recent work permit i.e.BOWP in my case. Thanks
