However, in theory you are right, the letter dated Aug 1st shouldn't be a problem. Work experience
gained after graduation on a off-campus or on-campus WP before you receive PGWP, should be counted towards CEC
experience, but... yes, here comes the BUT since the new CEC immigration rules are only a few months old,
there's still some VOs rejecting applications with work experience gained on off- or on-campus WP before PGWP.
So I would make sure you gained 12 months of full-time experience on your PGWP and have the reference letter dated after
gaining 12 months.

Make it as easy and simple as possible, your VO will appreciate it 8) And your chances of approval are higher.

From what I'm aware the rule change came into place in Jan 2013 with OP25A. Those who are currently being rejected are 2012 apps who are assessed under the 2012 rules (OP25)... So assuming you have applied in 2013 you will be assessed under OP25A thus shouldn't have a problem.

You're right. However, it's new rules and you never know. VOs have to adjust too and they're human and make
mistakes, so I wouldn't take the chance.
But yes, you're right!

good luck to all of you in this month that just start, double check every single line on your application, dates, names, numbers, cpp ottawa (please) signatures and all your documents included, just follow your check list and if you really feel there is something to explain include a cover letter, but keep everything on the most simple way possible. God bless you all in your way to PR!

Hi All, I am going to apply under QSW this month. Can you tell me which visa immigration office should I mention in the IMM0008 form? My CSQ does not mention CPP-O.

Thanks......

I have started filling the forms. I have few questions on IMM0008ENU_2D :

Application details
Q4 – Immigration office – is it Sydney or Ottawa? I read the below description on instruction guide and Sydney looks like the correct option. However I remember reading on this forum that CPP-O is the option. Appreciate if someone can clarify this.
CPC-Sydney: CPC-Sydney processes applications for:
permanent resident cards (new and renewals); and
• citizenship (applying, renouncing, revoking and resuming).
Case processing pilot-Ottawa (CPP-O):CPP-O processes:
• temporary resident visa applications from within Canada for applicants with valid status (student or temporary foreign workers only); and
• permanent resident visa applications from the United States and Canada after they have been pre-screened by CPC-Mississauga or Centralized Intake Office (CIO)-Sydney.

Personal details
Q 3 – UCI – is it the client Id mentioned on work permit (8 digits in the format of xxxx-xxxx)
Q10-current country of residence – dates. What do you input for the -to date: expiry date of WP?

National Identity document? – I am from India and don’t have any other national id other than passport. Should I say No here?

Dependents-Currently I don’t have dependents but I would like to keep an option of being able to sponsor my parents at a later point. In that case do I need to provide their details now? I read the below on the instruction guide hence this question.

"You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application"

application form:Q4...CPP-O
personal details: 1) yes that's the client ID
2) just click box 'No'
dependents: should be your hubby and kiddos...if later you want to sponsor your parents, you can do it by using the application called " supervisa for parents/grand parents"
Goodluck!

Thanks for the response and thanks for the wishes :) Filling all the forms today and have few more questions:

1.CPP office that comes closer to the description is Sydney. Am I not reading it correct?
2. Q10 - what do I put for to date? expiry of WP or don't put a to date?
3. imm0008_8e- I am still in the same job in Canada so what do I put for end date? The date of applying for PR or don’t put any date?
4. The following forms are not applicable to me. So do I need to attach blank forms and write N/A or don't attach them at all and don't tick in document check list?
IMM0008DEPENU
IMM5409E
IMM5604E
IMM5476E

Thanks

ALL CEC applications are being processed at CPP-O. Put that in your form.

All CEC applications go to CPP-O.

2. Q10 - what do I put for to date? expiry of WP or don't put a to date?

I put today's date in. The day you submit. Or print without date and write 'present' by hand.

3. imm0008_8e- I am still in the same job in Canada so what do I put for end date? The date of applying for PR or don't put any date?

see response above.

IMM0008DEPENU
IMM5409E
IMM5604E
IMM5476E

Dont attach forms and write N/A on document checklist.

Thanks

See comments in red above. Cheers.
