I called my local MP too. Very friendly.. took my details and said he would get back to me. Hopefully with an 'approved' verdict.

Hey Sreenath, did you call the local office line or the parliamentary phone line? I called both numbers and left a voicemail

I called mine and got an appointment. The office didn't really take any details.

Normally they expect you to drop the consent form (signed) at their office or scan and email before they can help. Hopefully they can provide you information while you are at the office.

Received call back, my application is approved and should receive PPR sometime next week.
Hope for best , thanks ghato for sharing the info

congrats p_sreenath. I had contacted my local MP office 6 months back, but they were not as easy to get through and wasn't worth my effort.
Good to know that PPR for you is likely next week. Any idea what is CPC-O waiting for assuming your approval came the same day as DM?

I am in the same boat, but last I heard from CPC-O yesterday was that the application is being processed - no idea what that means though after DM.

thanks,
Amdee

got a call back in 15 mins.. wow that was really fast.. my application has been approved and I am in the 'printing' queue, whatever that means...and I would get a mail from them by end of next week..

PS: love canada.. wherever can you speak to a member of parliament so easily? eh :P

It’s too early to congratulate, MP –office said: ‘your application approved on 24th Jan. waiting for authorization’, now what on earth the authorization no idea?
Still in the situation, waiting for PPR

good for you - Ghatot

All i care for is that it is approved as i got a DM without PPR and RCMP fingerprinting.

He specifically said it is in the printing queue and if I dont hear from them by end of week I have to call him again and he would follow up.

Also i live in a small town, the MP here is more personable and no appointment was necessary. His secretary connected me directly to him and he grabbed a pen and paper to jot down my details and called me back in 15 mins.

I didn't get RCMP request either but got DM. So we know that the applications after DM are either being (a) processed, (b) in printing queue, or (c) awaiting authorization.
I suspect they all mean the same. Anyway its good to know the ~ timeline for PPR is next week for you guys.

I've bugged CPC-O already this week :) and they did respond! But thanks, I'll ask for MP's help next week if needed.

You will receive confirmation from RCMP – ‘Completed processing and dispatch to respective addresses. And if you status – DM, then CIC would have received RCMP-finger print certificate without trace of criminal record.

Thanks Sreenath,
I did apply from authorized agency not form police station, so i suspect they will send me any email. Also I requested the report to be sent straight to CIC. My status in ECAS is still third line Med have been received. I have sent out an email to RCMP for the feedback and sent 2 emails to CIC concerning the status but no reply.
Any advice is appreciated.
