Hi everyone

i got the medical and RPRF email on Dec 20th but i havent get the medical instructions email. what should i do now?

Thanks in advance

In your medical email, you should have an attachment called IMM1017.pdf, that's the medical instruction.

If not, forward your medical email to OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca and tell them you did not receive the attached document IMM1017.pdf.

Probably Saturday for me if I get the docs back tomorrow, live close to the border :-). My spouse is going on vacation in February so will probably not do it until return.

You can't travel by commercial carrier for 60-70 days after landing (PR Card processing times). Official info here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=064&t=10

Ok. Thank you for the info. I didnt know that. Good luck :-)

Hope I will get mine soon!

Also, I should explain a couple of things about PPR for everyone:

1. We used Canada Post Priority (not Xpresspost), with a folded Priority envelope inside, because of the February deadline for vacation - even though it specifically asks for Xpresspost. Priority is almost the same but a day quicker each way because we live in Vancouver.

2. We sent to the Courier address, not the Canada Post address. This is because it is considered a Courier service and needs someone to sign, except:

3. We forgot to check the box on the Priority envelope for "signature" - be careful not to make the same mistake, because:

4. Our package was sent 19th Dec, and went "Out for delivery" on 23rd Dec. Even today, it still does not say "Delivered" on the tracker. This almost gave us a heart attack but we phoned Canada Post the next day on 1-866-607-6301 and they said it was delivered.

5. Priority and Xpresspost service only cover $100 insurance unless you pay extra for more coverage. Due to what happened to us, I suggest putting the maximum $5000 insurance if you are sending your passport. Its $1.95 per $100 of coverage so $95.55 for the full $5000. I don't know about everyone else, but I would prefer to have my passport + PR than have $5000 and risk having application cancelled.

I read somewhere that if your spouse applied as your dependent then both of you need to land together , you probably should make sure of it

Do you have a link? All I've read is that the principal applicant has to land first.

PA MUST LAND FIRST -

Family members, who arrive in Canada before the principal
applicant, will not become permanent residents.

Right, and dependent can land later (same day, or different day), correct?

Status not change since early Dec. How long does it take to get passport request?

1.We received your application for permanent residence on September 17, 2012.
2.We started processing your application on November 22, 2013.
3.Medical results have been received.

Only three people have received PPR from CPP-O:
- Jessica07, 7 days after MR
- ta2, 10 days after MR
- hithere, 10 days after MR

I would wait probably 3 more weeks then request your GCMS notes if you did not hear anything.

Hi Ta2,

Can you explain me what we mean by activating tracker?

When you get your passport request you are instructed to buy 2 Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes. One is to send your passport, the other is to fold up and put inside the first one for the visa office to send back your passport. Before you send it off, you record the tracking number of the envelope. You check once a day after 19:00 EST and eventually you will see the tracking code has been "activated" by Canada Post.
