TA2, did you apply for a bridge extension on your work permit? the BOWP? based on your PER.?
No, my closed work permit has more than 4 months left on it, so I am not eligible.

Problem is, folks that are just browsing through these threads, they start believing stats that are of the past and end up taking decision that could impact them negatively. Any statement that significantly states a timeline change (reduction or increase) should have a disclaimer stating clearly that it's only based on past data. Effort should be made not to state exceptions as norm. That is just my belief and not everyone has to agree. If I come across any such information on any thread, I call it out.

If there were just one of two of us who had gone into processing, then I would agree with you. However, there are now at least 8 out of 27 people here who applied to CPP-O who have gone into processing. This is a considerable amount. In the coming weeks we will know for sure whether this is a pattern, or if these 8 people are exceptions.

As far as I know you are the only one from Feb 2013. There are 5 months between September 2012 and Feb 2013. For someone to believe that to be a pattern needs to take a huge leap of faith. You can afford that optimism, but I am afraid you may hurt others who are not yet there and who ends up taking decision based on your assumptions.

Just wanted to add that if we see a sudden flood of MRs in next few weeks for most of the applicants in those 5 months, I may tend to agree about the trend likely getting shorter than "25 months". But till then I'll just call it the way it is today.

I was just wondering if people who already applied for a BOWP after PER are getting processed faster. But apparently not!!

You have misread my post. I didn't say this is a pattern, I said "In the coming weeks we will know for sure whether this is a pattern ... or exceptions".

From the spreadsheet in my signature, it appears that people within FSW2 CPP-O MI3 are being processed now but in a somewhat random order: 1 in July 2012, 4 in September 2012, 1 in Nov 2012, 1 in Dec 2012 and 1 in Feb 2013.

A week ago no-one in this group had been processed, now there are 8. This is obviously not completely random.

We are looking at CPP-O and trend here. Most of the folks who saw 2nd line from CPP-O are Sept 2012 applicants, except one as far as I know.

It's interesting to know that its working out for some folks whose visa offices are not CPP-O.

Agreed, there's movement mainly in the set September 2012 applicant. Agreed, in next few weeks/months we will find if this is becoming a norm. Till then, folks shouldn't take decision believing 14 months is the timeline or anyone who applied in first half of 2013 will get the 2nd line in 7-8 months.

Agreed that noone should take any decisions based on the trickle of information we have here. Also I'm 9.5 months from App Filed -> Medical Request, not 7-8.

It's good to see so many FSW2 applicants are getting reply from Ottawa .My file was received on January 4th 2013 but i didnt hear anything from them yet.

Do you people think it's a good idea to get my PCCs now from all the countries i have worked or shall i wait for their mail asking for it ? I haven't submitted PCC with my application.

Depends on two things:
a) Time. Is it really important for you to save X weeks delay in getting PR? Where X weeks is how long your PCCs take to get.
b) Money. Can you afford to lose the money on PCC? For example if your application is delayed (hopefully not) and you have you get a second set.

katyyy,
I have applied and got the PCC from India and UK and i don't mind spending extra money , if they ask latest one. Nonetheless I have PCC ready to submit.
