Thanks you p_sreenath and graham1710

Another question, How to i notify CIC to use same medial for my wife. Do i need to write email/Letter or how do i do that

Thanks in advance
Maninder

My spouse is going for higher education, and I'll be eligible for Open Work permit based on that. I would want that and may have to switch jobs to be closer to the univ.
Question is, will this impact my application? I saw the answer below on CIC webpage, and looks like I may need to provide letter from the new employer. Any comments.
thanks
amdee

You currently work in Canada in a job that is exempt from the LMO requirement under:

an international agreement (such as, the North America Free Trade Agreement) or
a federal-provincial agreement.

Also:

your work permit must be valid both when you apply and when the visa is issued (or you are authorized to work in Canada when your visa is issued), and
your current employer has made a permanent job offer based on you being accepted as a skilled worker.

katyy...
For me it took about 3 weeks to get my Indian PCC from BLS. I applied to one of their office GTA. I think, its better to send your PCC to VO even if they haven't requested for it. At least they need to bring forward your paper file to put your PCC inside. May be in that way ones PR application move ahead in queue. that was the advise given to me by my company's lawyer but didn't do it because by the time i got my PCC, I got request for it from NDVO.
Thanks, Gaurav

P_sreesanth,

How long did it take to get the Indian pcc ?what's the validity of Indian pcc? Are u going to send the pcc to ottawa or wait for them to ask for it ?

Gaurav1182,
Help me to understand, how to request the BLS to send PCC directly to VO . To my understanding, we have to provide the UCI #, application #, & DOB etc. Apparently I spoke to CIC agent; she says you can only send PCC documents on receiving the request from caseworker.

Sreenath,
BLS will not send it directly to VO. You need to send it to VO with cover letter which includes your UCI & file number. My company`s lawyer who supposed to be immigration officer suggested me to send my PCC to NDVO as i mentioned earlier. Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks, Gaurav

Gaurav1182,
Sure I need help.
I have both UK and India PCC, you mean can i send the original PCC to CPP-Ottawa by including UCI and File#
If yes, I can do this today :)

As far as i know, you can send it. I think, mysteaka had already mentioned some details about sending PCC without request for another VO. I think, you should check on this blog if someone has already done that with CPP-O or not. As far as myself & my lawyor has concerned you can send it. Decision is up to you. I would suggest to get other opinions too before actually sending it.
Thanks, Gaurav

Thanks graham1710 and ta2.

I checked the status today. Till Friday evening it has just the first line. Thinking about it, it's strange that someone worked on updating it on weekend or may be the system takes time to reflect the update? I really hope rest of the processing picks up speed for everyone.
Keeping fingers crossed.

Congratulations!

Is your visa office Ottawa? I assume it's also arranged employment?

If so, yet another 2013 PER application in process! Hopefully mine comes soon too!

Also interesting that there seem to have been updates to ecas outside the usual Tuesday update.

Graham.
