Seems like a miracle is happening or possibly it is wishful thinking on my end but there has been a change in my status as well. Earlier it only said that we have received your application and now they have added another line stating they have started processing my file...

I applied in September 2012 btw..

I applied on April 29, 2013 to NDVO and completed my medicals earlier this month. For me, i received my medical email along with RPRF & passport request first before getting second line for processing Ecas. So if you go by my processing time, you should be receiving medical request soon. I think, CIC is trying to reduce backlog in all VO & in turn that will reduce processing time for next quarter. They must be having target for processing time for next quarter & all VO seems to be working towards achieving it. Miracle do happen buddy!!! All the best for processing.

So your words indeed came true... I received medicals request yesterday. I have been asked to make the PR payment as well. So things have started to move guys. I am sure you all (who applied at CPP Ottawa) will be receiving some news soon enough.
