September 2012: FSW Arranged Employment applicants join here

I applied under FSW2 with a Canadian job offer (arranged employment for those currently in Canada- Post Graduate Work Permit). I just got offered a great job/higher NOC that starts off with a one year contract with a possibility of renewal. I am wondering what the consequences of taking this job would have on my application since it was my current employer who gave me the offer of permanent employment.

Please advise.

since it is a contract job, not a permanent position, your application will be denied once they find out

Considering the fact that MR have an expiry date, then I do not think that is a good idea to do them earlier than the CIC asks us, because we do not know when will that be.

As I understand upfront medical is possible. However since the results are valid for only 1 year, we risk doing the medicals again if CIC does not instruct us specifically to do the medicals. I am optimistic though that we all should receive medicals this year. At least some of the NDVO members have already got medical request. I am sure Ottawa is not too far behind.

Hello All,
Does it make any difference in PER processing time if i paid via Money order compared to applications with Credit Card payment? Ecas status shows that they received my file on 29th April but have not heard back from them on PER. Few applicants whose application was received on 29th april with CC payment already got their PER. Do they send hard copy of PER via post also? Thanks - Gaurav

No hard copy if it is Ottawa office (not sure about NDVO though). It is an email.

I had been talking to people and agents in canada if some one got their medicals for CEC application. So the good news is that since monday people who applied in august and sept have started receiving their medicals in mail.

Guys,

Throughout this forum people have posted several messages coming from CPP-Ottawa. They have clearly stated that all applications for FSWP submitted after June 2012 are expected to be completed or responded after August 31st, 2013.

None of us in this forum have applied before June 2012, so guys it is too early to start concerning about it... Let's be patient, anything before August 2013 is more than good.
