Actually i sent an email"OttPilot-Immigration" and reply is same as "In-process" and provided the links to see latest process time.

Do we get the Open work permit or the work-permit from the same company.
Do we have any link that helps us to get the work-permit for the in-process FSW2 candidates.
Thanks

tkRPR, i hope ds will work, its called Bridging open work permit

So on the cic online tracking tool problem . It seems that once the application has been assigned to a visa officer they turn off ur status and will update it with another quote when they are done screening the background checks . This is what the cic call center told me . So nothing to worry about any ways the visa office needs any info they would send us an e-mail .

hope this makes us all somewhat comfortable :)

Thanks! You are our hero now!! :)

@tkRPR and fukirua
Thank you for giving helpful information.
I know your application was transferred from Buffalo to CPP-O.
(maybe as you know, ) CPP-O said that "All files received between June 26, 2010 and June 30,2012 will be assessed in 2013". (Case Processing Pilot: Ottawa, Ontario FAQ #1)
Because of that information, I think that you seniors and us (we've filed app after Buffalo was closed) are on a different boat. But I guess sharing anything each other is so nice.

tkRPR, it's great news that CPP-O replied your e-mail.
As for work permit, I hope this link "Great news for CEC Applicants - OPEN Work Permits now available" is also help you ;
Seniors discussing about how to order the Bridging open work permit (ex, Can our spouse/common-law partner/dependents get open work permit? etc)

"FSW2" means "PhD stream" currently but I suppose you meant "Arranged Employment"... so, I think that we basically should get it from the same company because we applied with an arranged employment. However, almost people need LMO for update their work permit and I heard LMO process takes 6 months or so. What's more, work permit process is also slow... It's bad...

Best of luck for everyone :)

I filed in May after my one year experience in my Canada employer and still working.

I see below link said 5 months and changed to 8 months and now 11 months.

Hi Mysteaka, I see you are the chief of this thread; that's very nice of you.
CIC was aware of Buffalo closing at least since March of 2012 or even start of the 2012. Thus all the files appointed to Buffalo and sent after March (approximately) 2012 were transferred to Ottawa by default with some cooling period in Nova Scotia.

Thank you ESHOTEL for sharing that link.
I was very tensed before because my work permit is expiring in August.
+1 for you :)

My Ecas status is also gone...it was working fine until 2-3 days back and when I tried checking today it said that there is no information...did you guys who had issues with e-cas earlier were able to login now?

what does all this mean?

I don't think they give priority to foreign workers who are already working in Canada, because our application in for FSW so I think we are in the same queue.

Friends whose E-CAS status was gone,

jaz0020 has gaven us the answer.

Your process has been started actually. Your file isn't in CIC's queue anymore.
I wish I were you!

Seems strange hey would turn off ECAS. It has not happened to other applications that have gone "in process" prior to this. I was told it was an error due a software upgrade.

I hope you are right.
