Does AEO Job have to be from exactly same NOC as applicants current occupation?

A friend of mine is working under NOC 2174, but now have got a job offer from a different company with a positive AEO under NOC 2171. Is that fine? or if the current profession of the application has to be exactly same as job offer + AEO ?

Thanks!
As I know, it's fine. Your friend is probably required to have experience of working as NOC 2171 worker. Even if the experience isn't related to your friend's current job, it's ok.
However, I recommend your friend's new employer to read HRSDC website just before they apply AEO, because it will be changeable suddenly...

Btw, here is Sep 2012 applicants' thread. I recommend you to ask to seniors on the other threads (or start new thread), so maybe you'll get more valueable answers :)

hi mysteaka, i would love to hear your view on my case. i plan to apply under fsw arranged employment next year. i have work experience as a restaurant manager of 3 years. i have completed all the necessary requirements for the fsw, but i just have this one thing that slows me down. my LMO and job offer is in a semi-skilled job -- fca noc 6641. i have read that in order to qualify for the said scheme, the job offer should be in a skilled position -- example a restaurant manager noc 0631. so, that would mean, i am not qualified under this category? my husband is currently in gp, alberta as a tfw (fca, noc 6641 also). please share your views on my case.thank you. i am just confused.
Thanks for the message :)

I think it depends on new SFW's initial eligibility.
As you know, applicants have to have "an Arranged Employment in skilled jobs" in order to apply under current FSW.
If the new FSW stream has same requirement, you (or your husband) need get another job offer + LMO.
Otherwise, you might be eligible but CIC didn't announce decision of new FSW yet, so I don't have a confidence, I'm afraid.

And... I think maybe it's better for you to learn about CEC/AINP just in case :)
If you've work as a manager in past 3 years, you can apply under Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
If you are a foreign worker and have a permanent, full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible semi-skilled occupation (NOC C or D) in Foodservices industry, you can apply under the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP).

Good luck!

Hello Everyone,

This question goes out to everyone whose e-CAS status is in process. I have not yet received PER but my e-CAS is also 'In Process'. If I click on it, then the details just outlines that my application was received on Nov 17th.

What about everyone else? If you click on 'In process' what info do you get?

Regards

I received the PER, but my e-CAS shows the same as yours...

i checked with the bank , my DD has not encashed yet. MY application reached on nov 6 , 2012.

Hello all,

I got my PER on 19-Nov but when I try to check e-cas, it says that my application can't be identified.

They mention two main reasons for this, first one is wrong information was submitted, and the second one is, they have received my file but haven't started processing it yet. I have cross-checked my details so there is no chance for the first one.

Now, I wanted to know that how much more time will it take for my application reflected in E-CAS?

Thanks in advance.

As I heard, some people could login to E-CAS before they got PER. On the other hand, some others couldn't see their status online though they've got MR and when they logged in the first time, it was already "Decision Made (Medical received)". (Maybe you can see some posts/blogs/web pages if you'd like to googling or so)
So it depends on each officer/office, I think...
Fingers crossed for your E-CAS available soon :)

@ds3010 and mates,
Mine is also "In Process" and next page shows only "We received your application for permanent residence on September 4, 2012."

Hi friends,

I've thought if I should send you PM instead of posting this here, but this is probably useful for not only you but also others, so I posted...

1. New Federal Skilled Worker Program to accept applications beginning May 4, 2013.
@ishpiringkiting and friends,
As recently announced, the new FSW will accept a fixed number of applications each year, and new applications under the FSW will be processed in a few months. (In my opinion, applicants under new FSWP will be probably got PR faster than us... ) Discussion for this can be shown in here.

2. FWS (, CEC, PNP and new STW) applicants who are currently in Canada may be apply a bridging open Work Permit (WP) if their current WP will expire within the next 4 months.
In order to apply this, we need to receive a "positive Final Determination of Eligibility letter/ e-mail" (=PER) or the "Ministerial Instructions" status has been set to "Met" in GCMS.
Applicants must submit an Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker [IMM 5710], indicating that they are applying for an Open Work Permit. The open WP is to be valid for the duration of one year from the date of issuance.
@weedlover9,
I posted my friends case but due to above decision, you might be ordered to extend/renew your WP from CIC. I don't know well about this and don't have confidence... I'm afraid.

Good luck for everyone.

Hi All
I have one little query.
Is is necessary for someone to have an arranged employment in a field for which person has prior education and/or prior work experience.
What if the offer of employment from a canadian entity is not related to your education and also unrelated your previous experience
