dbss, i have Ontario health card but they didn't take it. We need to pay from our pocket for medical & x-ray for immigration purpose.

for people in Canada with provicial health coverage and work health insurance - can you charge the expense of the medical to the insurance company?

I know the answer is no but wanted to see if anybody has tried.

yes, I know OHIP won't pay but I have additional coverage from Manulife as well from my work....that's what i was thinking about

i think that additional coverage would be for dental & vision. I have it from Sunlife but for me it is for vision & dental only since it is not covered in OHIP.

It won't be covered, no need to waste your time trying

I will provide him my address for that period. My real concern is my wife's medical. She is pregnant and cannot do x rays till March end. I will talk to my lawyer regarding this situation.

One more question should I go ahead and pay rprf for both of us or wait till child birth??

When can we expect the PPR email? Any idea? Another quick question. When we send our passport with return prepaid Canada post envelope, should we include the signature option or not? If I will be not at home when it comes what will happen?

I think they use DHL, if you are not home, DHL will let you know how to arrange another delivery or let you go to DHL office to pick it up

I know medical is valid for one year. What does that mean.. valid till decision made or valid till visa issued or valid till you land??

A friend on another forum just got medical request. They applied at the end of April 2013. Hoping us all around that time start to get some news.

Hey All,

Just wanted to ask if the birth certificate is a big deal ? I submitted mine with the application, however it is not really clear since it was old and done in 80s, also it doesn't say my name cause probably i wasn't named then. Do you think the application can be returned cause of it or is it something they can overlook since they have everything else legit ? Please advise and share your experiences.

sure its big deal, I got birth certificate redone , since my previous certificate is old and not clear

If the certificate have your name of your parents, your DOB and place of birth . It should work fine

Well mine is already sent now. So i guess I'll just wait and hope for the best. Do you think they'll point it out in first stage approval ? or I can get first stage approval and they can ask for it later when they are assessing my application ? Please advise.
