hey jazz0020,
does your ecas have some updation regarding rprf payment by you?
i am asking because i had already submitted rprf , alongwith medical and passport but nothing as such mentioned in my ecas except medical have been received . kindly suggest how may i know whether my rprf has been encashed ??
the rprf fees won't show in the ecas status . Send the receipt to the email mentioned in the email and to be secure i have also sent a physical copy of all the documents to the mailing address also.

Hello DelhiGuy,

Your primary occupation would be your current position as it is the one you applied as arranged employment with. Everybody agrees?

I am sorry to hear what happened but I am sure you can appeal with a lawyer and get through this. I hope you do. Do you mind sharing with us what NOC Code you applied with? I have to admit that I am also a little scared that they return my application for the same reasons... I will let you know as soon as I hear from them, I just sent them an email... It might take months before I hear back from them...

Hello Sreenath & DS,

To answer my own question, the guide says - "You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in the primary occupation you specify in your application. "

So it gotta be one of the old jobs that I had which I'm showing experience of.

Thanks
CL

DehliGuy,
CIC includes the current experience aswell, will be calculated for instance ( jan 2014 - Jan 2013 ) is considered 1 complete year of Exp which will match your NOC

Hello Sreenath,

Yes you are right. However, in the forms, the primary NOC that needs to be mentioned should have atleast 1 year of experience. So my current job doesn't have 1 year experience yet. So i will give them Primary occupation as one of my previous jobs and arranged employment of the current job. Does that make sense ? Please advise.

Thanks

click on wages button, type your NOC code and it will come up with the skill classification and salary based on location. Skill O, A, B are eligible for FSW application.

Yes Jessica, However few codes are wrong on that website. My concern is to make sure that the codes I'm planning to use fall under skill level O, A or B. I have got hold of how it's done just want to make sure with them as well. The logic is, if your noc starts with a 0 or the second digit of your noc is, 1,2 or 3. Then it's under skill level O,A or B.

But again my application was returned due to the mess up of noc so i just want to be sure and ask them once. You think CIC call centre people will be able to answer it ?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I have read earlier on this post the probably security checking procedures taking place after medical is done however I was wondering if someone can explain a bit with regards to my case. I submitted my medicals on 12th Dec and line was added after couple of days. Alongwith that I send two Police Certificates that were requested.

But since then no news from CIC. Last week I also submitted RCMP even though they didn't ask for it yet. I am not sure if that was the right thing to do. Just wondering what could be happening with my application and how long it could potentially take Visa Officer to request for my passports. Considering I have been in Canada for over two years now and I have gone through similar background checks etc when I applied for my work permit.

Thanks and Regards,
ibtisam

I'm in the same boat with you, submitted medicals on Dec 12th and ecas updated with medical received on Dec 22th. Since then no news from CIC. Not sure what to do now.

I heard the security checking procedures depend on your name, countries visited, etc...

Depending on the individual timeline may vary. I am in the same boat too but expected more time in my case since I've been to several countries. We just have to wait it out, hoping it gets done soon.
