Hey guys,
one of the August applicants received the request for medicals today.

How long(roughly) does it take to get Permanent Residency after getting the request for medical exams?

Thanks.

Hi Friends

One more August applicant got his MR today for him and his wife. His application was recieved on Aug 8.

Looks like things are moving quick and hope we all are next in line :)

and also any one has applied for GCMS yet, if did please share the status.

What do you mean by GCMS?

I did applied for it and got on 25/03/2013.

For me nothing was started at that time. Everything, eligibility assessments, criminality assesments, medical, were "Not Started" with due date "2013/11/18" which was exactly one year after "Sydney" processed my file, 2012/11/19 (date of AoR).

No point in asking for GCMS for now. At present, June, July & Aug applications are being processed by CEC. Probably Sept applications processing may start by end of month going by the trend.

Hey guys
I was just wandering if anyone here has had their status changed from "Application received" to Application Processing" on the CIC website. Just a bit confused as to whether this will change as we get closer to our MR or will it just change to "Medical Request"?
Cheers

As members of previous month's thread have mentioned, it first changes to In-process and then few days later MR follows. Of course, that doesn't always happen as many members have shared that their ecas status remained as "Application Received" even after receiving their Medical Requests.

I guess few August applicants have received their MRs. Perhaps some lucky ones among the September group might also receive their MRs in May. But I think that June is the month where most of us will start to hear from CIC. Let's see how things work out.

And that means CIC is working to reach that 9 month complete process timeline for 2013 applicants.

That is understandable. If you look at the timelines for March/April 2012 applicants, they received their AOR after 5-6 months, while September applicants, most of us, received within 30 days. (though i guess October applicants got their AORs with slight delay, true? or were those rare cases?) perhaps things are improving, or at least appear to be so.

Application Received: 14th September 2012

Payment deducted: 8th October 2012

Receipt of Payment/Letter notifying application forwarded to visa office for processing: 24th October 2012

Notified CPP-O of Change in Martial Status: 21st January 2013 (to which they haven't replied yet!)

Online it shows: Application Received

Fingers Crossed!

if you applied through Ottwa.. email this address OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca
i was trying to email Sydney and didn't got any reply for 6 weeks. so email Ottwa and they updated the next day.

anyone status changed to "in Processing"????

I think it is too late...

usualy it takes 2-3 month after AOR.. isn't it???

Yes. April 15 applicant got the MR today. If CIC continues with the pace, I'm sure some of us will start receiving MRs by mid June. Hopefully earlier :)

Hi folks,

Quick update: got my MR today. It says the following and the IMM1017 form with my info in it was attached.

UCI:

Dear XXXX,

My timelines are as follows: NOC 2171; Open PGWP; Application filed: Aug 15, 2012; Application Received: Aug 20, 2012; AOR: Sept 10, 2012; MR: April 18, 2013.

Question for the seniors: does getting MR imply that I've passed all of CIC's eligibility criteria? Provided that I pass the MR, at this stage, what are the chances of rejection?

Also, does anyone know of an eMedical enabled physician in Ottawa? If not, can anybody recommend an eMedical one that they've had good experience with in Toronto?

Any input would really be appreciated. Best of luck to the ones waiting for MRs - my prayers are with you all.
