Sorry KingofQueens for the late reply. My NOC is 1112 Financial Analyst. Actually its my wife. She is a Sr.Financial Analyst with one of the banks. She is the primary. Anyways, did our medicals on Monday. Hopefuly all goes well. We are realy worried about CIC calling my wife's employer to check about her job. Not coz she is not a financial analyst, but coz we have heard so many stories about cic calling the work place and getting wrong information or coming to their own conclusion based on what was told to them by the person who answered their call. Not sure if asking for medicals means that they have already called her workplace. Anyways, lets hope for the best. Thank you for your wishes. Hope to hear some good news from your end as well.

CIC doesn't always call people's workplace, only sometimes, androme. I wouldn't worry too much about it though - especially now that you received the request for medicals...

Hey guys,

I am mid september applicant. My passport is expiring in October 2013.
I see online that the Indian Embassy in Toronto/Brampton takes 4 to 6 weeks for re-issue.
I am confused if I should apply right now for reissue or wait for my medicals.
For the people who received medicals already, does it have any deadline before which you need to do the medicals?

>:( ??? :-[ :'(

Thanks,
P

I am hopping Sep 2012 applicant should get their PR by Sep 2013 or before.

You may seek some expert advice and see what they have to say, If I would you I will try to buy time till August before making any decision.

1 month from notice of medical examination request

Thanks guys!!!

I sent my passport to Indian Embassy today.. now just hoping my Medicals doesn't come soon hahahaaha ;D :P not atleast for next few weeks!
I think my file will be delayed anyways since I added my spouse's documents in mid-April! It would take time for them to do his background check and stuff!!

Good luck... hope everyone get medicals in time :)

Thanks,
P

Do we need to take passport for the "Medical Test"??

Any photo ID proof..Canadian Driving license will also suffice.

Do we need photos for medical or what else do we need for medical?
If the test facility(Dr.'s office) is internet based, you don't need it.
this is what I know.

Yes it does help.all the best.Dont see anyone getting medical since yesterday?

Hi Alex,

I had completed my medicals on May 6th. My Doctor just send me an email confirming that he has submitted it to the CIC through e-med today (if they don't have e-med you need 4 photos each. If they have e-med you just need 2 each. Also it depends on the doctor's office I think for the number of photos. However you do need photos and your passport). For our medicals they asked us to take our passports and 2 photos each (for me and my wife). When CIC sends you the medical request, they will also send you a letter outlining what is required. Also when you call the doctor, they will tell you the number of photos to take for the medical test. All the best and I am sure you are going to get your medicals soon. Cheers!
