Is there a Kenya visa office spreadsheet? That's the first place I'd look for an estimate of how long it will take - it's different at every visa office.

there isn't a spreadsheet or even an active thread, so unfortunately we just have to be patient and hope for the best. Lila23, they won't contact you until they're ready to send it back. Perfect time to practice patience! My husbands passport was received by Nairobi on Dec 7th, so we're in the same boat. I will keep you updated!

Hi all,

We sent our spouse sponsorship application (Husband Case) to CIC Mississauga on September 7th 2012.

File got approved and transferred to CHC Islamabad on October 23, 2012. Haven't heard anything since then !

Still a long way to go I guess .

I've added you to the September spreadsheet (the link under my post) - can you tell me when did you do the medicals and when Mississauga received your application so that I can put it there as well?

I did my medical on July 10, 2012. We sent our complete spousal sponsorship application package to CIC Mississauga on September 5, 2012 which was received by CIC-M on September 7, 2012.

@Lila23 - good news I hope, my husband was contacted to pick up his passport from the FEDEX office on Thursday and his home address on ecas has been changed to my canadian address - it's looking good! Will message again once he picks it up

Merry Christmas to everyone.....wishing we could all have our spouses with us for the xmas season but since that didn't happen, we just have to have them in our hearts! Hope you all have a good holiday.....I am headed out of town for a few days, chat to you all when I return!

The choice is mine, the immigration only requires me to leave Canada, regardless of where/how.

Remember, you can apply for a visitor extension, without having to leave.

You're in the CIC system, so you can do it online, just make sure it's at least 1 month before the expiry date. We weren't yet and had to do it via snail mail, in which case, 2 months is a good idea. I'm still waiting to hear if I got my extension, but have what I need should I be questioned, so I'm not here "illegally". Enjoy your time with your hubby!
