HELP PLEASE! :(

I submitted my spousal application on September 26 via Fedex to the Robert Speck Address.
On the Fedex Tracker it says that it was signed for at the CPC in Mississauga.

It is October 4 and I haven't received a letter from them with my client ID. Does it normally take that long? In your September 2012 Excel Tracker, where it says application received by CIC, does this mean the day it arrived the CPC or the day you received your letter stating that your application has been received?

Please help! A little anxious!

Thank you!

Hi meltete85-

You will not hear anything back from them until approximately 2 months after the application is received. Currently the waiting time is 69 days. Application received is because most people get their package tracked and/or signed for so they know when it was delivered/received. It would be nice to hear from them only one week after submitting it, but it looks like you'll be waiting for a while longer!

Ok, so I will fill in the tracker then with the day that it was signed for then?
Also, when I do hear from them for the first time, will it be regarding sponsorship approval or just that they've received my application and that it's under review?

Yes, your application received is the date it was signed for.

You may get an AOR from them, which means it is being processed. Some however, don't get one.. I didn't. If you do, usually sponsorship follows a week or two after anyways, so it really depends.

Good luck!

Scroll window of your partner to a complete top. there, you will see
Show messages from: Yesterday . 7 days . 30 days . 3 months . 6 months . 1 year

This is true if you had conversations with your partner specifically on the computer you are trying to retrieve. E.g. my computer does not give me history for more than the day I came back to Canada because before my trip to Canada I was chatting through another computer.

Guys i m also a Sept applicant. Count me in as well.

I was just reading the August 2012 thread and comparing their timelines to ours.

Many of them got AOR shortly after or even before one month waiting, yet none of us (September ppl) has received anything yet. ><

I'm starting to get worried as I have to travel back home soon as was hoping that by the time I will be back in Canada, AOR will be hopefully sent so that I can show it at the border/airport.

What if we won't get AOR by that time?
Even worse, what if there'll be some problems on the way and I'll be in Poland?

so stressful....

They are still processing July 26, 2012 so you shouldn't be expecting anything yet.

Well that's the thing. If the files were being opened in order, according to the date received, then I'd be able to predict more or less when to start panicking. ;) But they're not. I read through the whole August 2012 thread (yes, 58 pages) and the fact is, there is no order in opening files.

Also, not everybody apparently received AOR, some get the mail with AOR and approval in one, later of course.

I'm going to try to check my status online. Maybe it's already updated. :'(
