Got my passport with the visa! :P so happy...
it took long time actually cause it has to be sent from england to Colombia through a friend , but it actually arrived the 5th of march !
Good luck for the rest that is still waiting! things in the end will work out !
thank you!!

for the people that got already their CORP is it normal that the actual passport doesnt have a picture of you in it?
just wondering if everything is ok.
thank yoU!!!

Buffalo had received my passport on March 19th, 2012 (My PPR date: March 16th, 2012) and I was wondering how long it would take to receive my passport back from Buffalo.

Per various forums, a popular assumption was that the e-cas status gets updated from "In Process" to "Decision Made" before the passport is mailed out by Buffalo, usually within 2-3 days after the status change.

My e-cas status changed to "Decision Made" today, so hopefully my passport will be on its way soon.

Hope the above information is helpful to people who have the "How long does Buffalo take to return the passport" question.

Thanks,
ManyaPR

P.S.: For some odd reason, my PPR date has vanished from the spreadsheet. The same holds true for the user "mumbles" as well. I know that because we share the same PPR date. So, if someone could update the spreadsheet, it would be helpful to others who may want to get an idea about the timelines.

Hi All. Guess am a little late posting to this thread.. Sent application on september 9,2011, ... Received letter from CIC November 15, 2011 stating I qualified as sponsor for my husband (us Citizen) .. Application forwarded to the buffalo office, who then forwarded it to Detroit office.. Husband received email February 22, 2012 from Detroit, saying they had his application , they required his divorce doc, and medicals for his daughter or a letter from the ex wife stating she refused.. all that was done(refusal letter) and sent within the week, delivered and signed for at the Detroit office..email received in the following week from Detroit stating medical for his daughter would not be required. & that is where we are at, have no more word yet, but am hoping soon to hear something... Nice to know there are others who go through the same things to be together with the one they love.. Good luck and speedy processing to everyone.. :)

Sep 2012 Need some Advice

My fiance and I sumitted our Family Class PR App to CPC Miss. in September. She is sponsor I am principle applicant. She was OK'd as sponsor in early Dec, App was sent to Buffalo. Buffalo sent App to Seattle in Jan, Seattle updated status to IN PROCESS on 17th of February 2012.

We've been anxiously waiting every day for some word from Seatlle and word has yet to come.

We've checked this forum and followed links to various spreadsheets created by fellow applicants, and all signs seem to point to our application being the runt. It looks like many of the late September applicants have already recieved a PPR letter. Our online status hasn't changed from IN PROCESS.

At this point we are skeptical that we may have made a mistake and it could be waiting in the mail. The big confusion we have is that we don't know if they will or will not send it back at this point. Some sources we've found say they will send it back if it is incomplete even though it has cleared CPC Mississauga, and other sources say once it has been passed from CPC to VISA Office then it is considered complete and will not be returned..

Does anybody know which is correct? Will they send it back if they are unhappy or will they send me a letter saying 'we need such and such'?

Is anybody else in the same boat as us?

Hoping for some clarity...anything really...

Re: Sep 2012 Need some Advice

I'm a fellow runt ;). We submitted late Sept, as well, sponsor approval early Dec. Doc request late Dec. Everything sent in and received by VO. We are playing the waiting game now. I know it's frustrating but hang in there! Our time will come soon enough. :)

Hi waiting is very frustrating, the not knowing part is worse I'm thinking.. You are right our time will come, just wish it was now.. hard to stay positive some days. Deep breath one foot in front of the other is all I can do at times, miss my husband very much. Good luck to you. :)

Received my COPR/IMMIGRANT VISA back from Buffalo today!! I cannot believe it's finally over, exactly 7 months and 3 days after my application had reached CIC Mississauga.

I have another 2.5 months before my immigrant visa expires, so haven't made plans for landing, as yet. I will most probably drive up to the US-Canada border to get it done, sometime in the near future.

Thanks,
ManyaPR
