Congrats ManyaPR and mumbles!

Great job Buffalo! 2 PPRs today! Wonder whether they are by the same officier. :)

My wife received a letter this week from the embassy in Lima this week stating that they received our file in Lima on December 9, 2011 and started working on it on March 12th.

Good to see some activity.

Got my visa today! I was so surprised, I got the call from the local courier when I was getting my glasses fixed.

God is so good, He never fails to amaze! ;D

I will do that. I am sure that everyone else's prayers led to my visa being granted, I will do the same for everyone, we are all in this together. :)

Congratulations! Your wife is pregnant right? She must be very brave to go through pregnancy alone for a number of months :) my husband didn't want me to get pregnant until he's already here so he can take care of me all the time.. Are you flying right away? :)

Btw, what's your ecas status? My husband's passport has been with them for a month and my ecas still says Application Received. And when exactly did you send your passport to CEM?

Yes, she is on her 16th week. Now you made me a bit guilty. :'( But yeah, I am very much anxious to get to her ASAP, I want to be able to take care of her everyday. I am planning to leave by the end of the month, God willing.

Weird though, my eCAS status still reads In Process, but last Monday my address reappeared but instead of my Philippine address, it contained my destination (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). I had been in process since December 28; I sent my passport last January 9, but I only had significant progress since two weeks ago when I *finally* got my FBI clearance and submitted it two Fridays ago.

LOL I'm sorry no intention to make you feel guilty, I actually admire you, especially your wife. Book your ticket right away, I think the rate will go up starting April when its the high season.

I was just trying to get an idea how long it takes for them to issue the visa once they receive the passport but I guess it really is case-to-case. I just wish they issue it soon because I don't think we missed to provide any requirement. Oh well. I'm happy for you, and congratulations again on getting your visa and congratulations for being a dad-to-be! Take care :)

congratulation...How I wish we processed our application in Manila. though we had an option. SG VO is really slow until now my ECAS status is application received, no progress at all..

Have a safe trip kabayan...

Hey Guys, congrats to those who have been approved. i received my AOR from Port of Spain today. I check e-cas and it said my application was received Oct 18, 2011. So i guess I have to switch to the October thread..We're still waiting for our approval letter from CIC to get our papers sent to MICC for my CSQ...It was good to see this letter at least I know something is happening. It was dated March 14, 2012 and my app was received by my VO on feb 9, 2012.

I miss kedeisha from the forum, anyone heard from her?

Hello all,

Somewhere along the line I must of missed the definitions of the acronyms. What does AOR mean? Is that when the first correspondence is received from the VO (I figured this one out at least).

Thanks

Yes, it means Acknowledgement Of Receipt, from Visa Office.

Hi, sorry I haven't updated you guys for a while.. I got my PPR email on 3/9 and I'm now just waiting to get my passport back :)

Congrats to all the recent PPRs!

I got the PPR email this morning, which I am quite pleased about, and I have a question that I think I know the answer to but am looking for confirmation.

They asked for 2 recent pictures (passport photos, I assume) and passport for me and every family member accompanying me. "Family member" is a confusing term throughout the documentation because it means different things in different places.

In my case, when I land I will be accompanied by my wife and daughter, but they are both Canadian citizens. I'm the only one coming in on a visa.

So the question is, do I need to provide their pictures and passports? Or just mine?
