Question for the Sept. Group...

We've sent in the passport to the consulate, anyone has an idea how long it takes????

Any advise would be helpful

thanks

So we have a small update! Despite ecas showing an incorrect address and the name of our old lawyer, our paper work from London is apparently on its way. The day after I emailed London asking for an update, our lawyer contacted us to say he 'had gotten word from London' that we had been approved and that the documents were in the post. I have no idea how he got this word but I don't really care! We're approved!! Yay!

To that end, we asked if the wrong address & old lawyer's name would be an issue in delivering the paperwork and he said he had asked London if we would need to fill out a new form naming him as our representative and would get back to us. London said no, no need for the new form, and that the COPR was in the post. This seems a bit odd to me. The only way this makes sense (in my mind, at least) is if he mentioned the new address/lawyer's name (him in this case) in his correspondence with London and they responded saying, "No need to fill out a new form naming you as the representative, we'll send everything to the new address under your name." If this isn't the case, then they've probably sent it to the old place. Oy!

Fingers crossed it's all going where it's supposed to. Have to say, at this stage I would just rather it be sent to our home address. At least that way I know I'm home all day to get it and it's not getting lost or misdelivered or not signed for or whatever. If you think it's bad trying to get a straight answer out of the visa office, try attempting to communicate with them through a third party! It feels like we're fighting with them, actually ... "Tell the lawyer to tell the visa office that we want to know if xyz..."

Finaly got it ;D ;D ;D ;D yeayyyy

This was the mail i got this week:

Dear Mr.

Your Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) was approved and issued today.
Consequently, your application for permanent residence in the family class can be finalized, too. To do this, please submit a copy of your valid passport (page with biodata). To speed thing up, you may prefer to email us the copy.

Upon receipt of the copy, we will issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence. We will then mail the confirmation along with your ARC. Please note that both documents must be presented at the port of entry.

Kind regards,
Immigration section

Guys, sorry, it has been a while. I can see a lot has happened! I made the following changes to the spreadsheet (http://goo.gl/oxFDn):

-I added a misc column, as some people are having special things such as an interview or their file being forwarded to a different VO.
-I took out the following columns: Days from processing and Estimated Sponsorship Approval Date. The "Days from processing" count has been at zero for everyone for a while and the "Estimated Sponsorship Approval Date" is broken. I could get it to work again, but there is no point really, because neither columns are relevant any longer. So I figured the spreadsheet would look better without them.
-I reserved the colour green for people who received their visa's/COPR's and whose files can be considered finalized. All items that were previously coloured green have been returned to default white.

Congratulations to everyone who received their visa's/copr's and good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

Am I seriously still the only one who has landed as a PR?! My PR card came in the mail 2 days ago!

thanks budd..

Error on my side: It was not Cxyrus, but Danswo who received their visa on Feb 21. I corrected it.
Danswo also landed on Feb 25. Congratulations! I added it to the spreadsheet.

Hey! indigo

My details are

App. Received on 16th September2011
Approval 19th November2011
Visa Office LONDON
In process 19th January2012
Interview wave
Passport Request 22nd February2012
waiting for Passport
Thanks

Finally some progress! After submitting my FBI clearance last Friday, I checked ecas today. I have been in process since dec28, just today an additional line reads 'Medical results have been received'. Wow, an ecas update in one day?!? That is unprecedented, at least for me. ;D I hope the next status comes in soon, hopefully within the week. God is so good! ;D

The spreadsheet was updated.

SH8288: Added to the spreadsheet.

Added a column: Total processing times. It only has a value for those people whose files have finished processing. This value was calculated automatically.

Apologies for dropping off the map a bit. Here are my dates so far:

23/11/2011 - Sponsorship approved, bumped to Buffalo
19/01/2012 - Application transferred to Los Angeles satellite office
31/01/2012 - In process

I think PPR will come soon, based on other Buffalo/LA timelines, but I'm getting awfully antsy about the whole thing!!!

Hi Indigo, can you update my row please...

In Process: Feb 1, 2012
Misc: Forwarded to New York, USA

What is the difference between 'Sponsorship Approval Date' and 'Date Application received by VO' please? They seems to be the same for most of the people on the spreadsheet.

And congratulations again on your PR card arrival!

YAY!! also got PPR this morning! WOOOHOOOO!
