If you don't write a letter why you are not providing option C printout, they may ask for it. For my case I didn't submit O-C but wrote a letter of explanation. There was no problm for sponsorship approval.
thanks for your reply Amy
can you please tell me what did you explain?
i wrote that i didnt file my taxes for last 2 years and i am out of canada for last 1 year on tourist visa thats why i cant file now. do you think it will work??
i gave my bank statements (saving and investments of about $300,000)to show financial ability to support us after coming to canada.

Hello, I am waiting to get my passport back, but had a question.

I am researching airplane tickets to Vancouver from Bogota and found good deals flying through the US, however i don't have any visa for the US. Having my PR for canada, without having landed yet, can I make connections (transit) through the US with just PR? My country needs a visa of some sort to go to the States.

no you dont need any visa for US. but in case if you want to visit US city for few hours( waiting time for next flight ) you need to get transit visa.
i have travelled through many countries like this without visa :)
dont worry and best of luck for your visa :)

thank you ashunandal. But does the PR needs to be "activated" before I can land in Us without US visa?

Or If I just buy the ticket and do the conections in US telling them that I am going to Canada for FIRST time with my PR is enough?

When we I received the sponsorship approval, on the letter it had the Immigration File number, which is what we use to log in with both our names and info.

No PPR yet but hopefully soon!

Just a question: How will you receive your visa if you are currently living in Canada through outland sponsorship?

Thank you

Thank you
they will send passport to applicants mailing address
then you can ask someone to courier your passport to canada but dont forget to confirm with immigration before you do anything.
i heard somewhere that you need to go out and enter canada again after getting PR. i am not sure, its just based on my knowledge. i think you should contact immigration department.
best of luck for your visa

guys.. i just want to ask.. I've been to Taiwan last 2004 for 3 years, before I go home, I secured a police clearance. My question is..Would it be still valid? or do I need to get a new one? Please advice.. thanks

police clearance is valid for one year only and it should not be older than 3 months before you apply.

most welcome
i think you should wait for request from CIC. i am not sure about processing time of your visa office. if you think you are close to get passport request than you can go ahead and get police clearance now to avoid any delay.
best of luck
