@ watsonwoo

Looks like you have been approved as a sponsor (or your spouse) and they have started processing

Good morning everybody.

any news from Abu Dhabi canadian embassy with the start of the year 2012?

It is just it is not moving there at all since Mid Decemeber

Please let me know

Yeah, I just checked processing times for Abu Dhabi and it has very long waiting time - 27 months. All you can really do is to find a lot of patience to help you go through this painful process.

Thanks Quince,

I was hoping to see if the embassy is getting back in shape processing applications with 2012 starting. :(

Hi:

I applied in September 2011.

Received application: 27 Sep 2011
Accepted and started processing: 08-Dec-2011
Medical results received.

Current E Cas status:

-Decision made, Application received.

We are still waiting.

Thanks.

Same as mine. It means they only received your application. They have not started your processing. If singapore starts processing, the status will be in process.

Hi everyone!

Just wanna ask if everyone who was able to receive PPR has already paid their PRPF as well? If not, when should be the said "PRPF" be done? Thanks guys :-)

My parents just received our 72 photos and some other stuff, accompanied by a letter:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The immigration section is returning the enclosed documents.

- photographs,
-letters and postcards,
-telephone bills.

At this time, these documents are not required for the continued processing of your file.

Yours sincerely

Immigration Section

Gave my parents a nice scare, they don't understand much English and thought my PR was denied. ???
I guess Berlin is just weird in that way, Marco2011 received all his stuff back too a few weeks ago. I take it as a good sign and assume Berlin is convinced that our relationship is genuine. :)
I am not sure why my parents received this, but their address (my last official address before I came to Canada as a tourist) does show up in my application because I was called by the CIC officier who was processing the sponsorship request. He said I needed my Dutch address in order to be allowed to be processed in Berlin so I supplied it. Since my parents still live there, I don't think it will be much of a problem even if they continue to mail me there.

I told my folks to enjoy the 72 nice Kodak photos! ;D

I've heard of some people getting their photos returned back to them. I think this must be a good sign that they're convinced about your relationship and don't need any more evidence from you. Poor parents who didn't understand what it was all about ;)

So happy for you and at the same time a bit jealous that you have short processing times at your VO ;)

One question, does anyone know how the VO sends the passports back to us? are you able to pick it up?

Thankyou Quince and CCbrazil.

You probably have an option of doing both
