I hope you get your approval soon, too. I think you will be getting a mail.

Thanks SandJ.

We are eagerly waiting for our approval. Hope all the septemberians get their approvals too.

Ok guys, update:

I spoke to an agent at the call centre and this is what he said

although we were approved on October 28, 2011, and file was transferred on same day, apparently, the file was sent out to ND on November 21, 2011, hence, we haven't heard anything yet.

He also said that once sponsorships are approved and to be sent out to the respective VO's, it's random, meaning whatever files they pick up, they send out in batches, that's why a lot of people who might have had applications approved would see people before or after them getting ecas changes, aors, ppr's cos it's random, as they receive it at VO's.

He also noticed that for ecas, i have to enter my hubby's first and last name cos that's how they have it in the system

Oh well, I guess we have to wait some days more.

Have a great weekend y' all!

If case it matters, for internal forum tracking, the "Date Application Mailed" entry in the excel sheet should read "August 30th 2011" for me.

Cheers,
ManyaPR

good night forum friends ....congrats to all who got approvals .I'm happy to see this article below ,cause it means one less step for some of us........Have a read

A final step during the application for Canadian Permanent Resident status, submitting your passport to the visa office so it can be stamped, is no longer necessary for citizens from Visitor Visa exempt countries.
For these applicants, once they are approved, they will be mailed their landing documents.

However, anyone who requires a Visitor Visa will still have to submit their original passport to the visa office to have the PR visa stamped inside, which will be, in these cases, returned to the applicant with their landing documents.

CanadaVisa.com provides a list of countries that are currently except from requiring a Visitor Visa, and hence no longer require passport submission: Visitor Visa Exemptions.
