thank you very much I think I'll pop in over there as well! September next year eek! that's quite some time...angtao said:theprofessorswife, you are going to notice different things happening with this thread as outland works very very differently from inland. You can join us anytime you want in the Inland 2011 thread.
Most of the people from March 2011 have been approved and my husband is looking at being approved in February. You are looking at next September for 1st stage approval right now. Just sit back and try not to think about it. For me it has been 6 months now and sometimes the time goes by fast and sometimes it goes by slow.
My family is going through a rough time in the States, my eldest sister is very ill and my middle sister (and brother-in-law) are taking care of her at the moment. However, if things do not change for the better quickly I may have to get a job to help pay for her medical bills (as we are not able to help financially with one income at the moment) - of course this would mean I would have to fly back to the states and abandon my application here loose the money we spent on it and I guess apply again? While we all hope and pray it does not come to that it just might. I am looking for jobs I can do online from the States (that aren't scams...) as I cannot work in Canada and my first stage of approval is looking at a year or so...
To transparent with you all, I am devastated. I don't feel as if I have any options right now, I want to be supportive of my family and do whatever I can to make sure my sister is able to keep getting treatment. I would offer for her to come live with us, but we can't afford it- and I don't really think Canada or the CIC would appreciate that... At the same time I feel torn because I do not want to leave my husband - especially since we are not guaranteed I will be able to come back afterwards and it may cause all sorts of problems with immigration.
I've looked around the forums and from what I can gather there isn't anything I can do. Leaving risks it all, and I really hope it doesn't come down to that, but there may not be another option soon.
Does anyone know if there is someone I can talk to about any other options that may be available or have any suggestions? Maybe I can get them to pull my application out of line or something so I wont jeopardize submitting it again? I am plain out of ideas. . .
