Secondly, if you dont mind can you please elaborate what you meant by + response. It will be easier for us to tell you about the step that lies ahead of you after this.

Thirdly, could you please mention if you got your File number as well?

**Once the cap has been reached, we can only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment.

Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, the CIO cannot review each application for completeness on the same day it arrives at the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it reaches the CIO. We are looking into ways to minimize the effect of this on website updates.

WOW...WOW...ARBD....this is your PER buddy!!! Thats great news. Congratulations. +1 to you :-)

Earlier what would happen is that the VO's were the sole authority to give you a positive or negative eligibility. But from this year (to cut down on the processing time and also relieve the VOs from too much work), CIC gives the first go ahead of eligibility. This means eligibility wise you are through. Now your docs will be forwarded to your VO and your VO will send you an AOR - acknolwdgement of receipt by snail mail, not email (it takes about a month from your PER mail date, for this AOR to reach you). VO does your background checks for security purposes and checks the authenticity of your documents. Then they send you MR (medical request which you can expect within 2 to 3 months from date of PER). Then Passport request and request for landing fee will follow.

PER is a BIG step buddy. GOing forward there isnt much to worry.

Congratulations once again.

File number is the one that starts with E.
