True. :)

I would assume they accept email attachments. At least it would make the process faster because all the evidence would be there already. They could start looking for your application right away. The picture is a good idea, because they can try to track it down by that too, if there is something differing it from others. :)
Alright I've just sent them a very detailed email about my application, along with the CanadaPost PDF delivery certificate and photograph of the application. I hope they won't ignore my email......I mean, yes I know officially they're still processing apps arriving on 29 Jan, but mine arrived on 30 Jan.....which is soooooooooo close........! Some tolerance would be appreciated =/

. . . Even if it didn't get lost on the way to CPC-M there is still the right to "complain". ;) :D
Sure you can "complain", if you are eager to see a "finger-pointing show". Totally understand @messenger about wishing to have the baby born in Canada.

Yes, I know and I didn't mean to start whining about my application. That's why I said it is subjective.. everyone has their reasons to "complain". I might have not put it out in right words. :)

Unfortunately, lightning does, contrary to the myth, often strike the same place, many times. Ask the Empire State Building!

I hope this doesn't happen here because we also are waiting for an AOR. Package was delivered 22/02/2013...

We have tried to "hedge our bets" by getting duplicates of PCC and some other docs, just in case, but it will be very expensive to restart. For example, do you have to take medicals again or will a copy of the IMM 1017B be OK, assuming that one was taken? We scanned EVERYTHING before sending it off to CPC-M.

Z.
The worse thing that can happen when the package is lost to my opinion is gathering again all letters, translations, certifications etc etc etc.
The forms is the least you have to worry! Medicals hmmmm ok. i guess by contacting the doctor he/she will have your meds on file so there's no problem there too.

Of course these are all assumptions! When the real thing strikes then.........
Let us all hope so that Elevid's package is found and for fandv to get her AOR and SA because she is the only one left on the January sheet!

Yup! I check my inbox and spam folders 20 times per day! ;D

Indeed hopefully the lightning didn't strike me... =(. According to CanadaPost.ca, the package did arrive at Mississauga on 30 Jan...I even have the delivery certificate with me now, which also has the name and signature of the person who signed for it (an "A SANAN")...so for my parcel to be literally lost, there would have to be someone who came there and stole it somehow...!

Since the past 2 weeks I've called the call centre 5 times (yesterday was my last one) and the agents said that they had nothing on their system yet, and they saw no indication that they had sent me an AOR! And I asked yesterday's agent whether they would make a note on their system if they had returned my package, which he said yes, and then he confirmed that he saw no note about our package being returned, which is at least a good thing...!

What's so discouraging is the fact that they keep telling me that they're currently still working on apps arriving on 29 Jan (as per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp ), so according to them, I'm still okay since mine arrived on 30 Jan (according to Canada Post tracking).
Well, not so okay for me, since all other January applicants got their AOR and even SA already. And I see that many Feb applicants got their AOR and even some SA already...!!

Yes thankfully at least I'm in Canada now...so it's easier (and cheaper) to call the call centre...

I'm starting to wonder whether my 6,4 kg package scares them...!

You know what...the CIC does have a physical address right....(the Robert Speck one), I wonder if I should just show up there and find out what's going on!

How do I write them? Email them at CPCM-EXTCOM @ cic.gc.ca?
Hi again

My heart goes out to you my dear

Yes. If I was you i would go there. In my country we have a saying, "By asking you find the village" which means that you must search and inquire. I am sure behind the procedures and emails are real people and I am sure this way at least you can get somewhere!
Please keep in touch! We'll be watching for your updates

Best of luck

Yes either that, or the person simply had no clue about the email address =P

I'm thinking of writing them at that address, and I was just wondering if they accept email attachments...?!

I'm planning to submit a PDF document of the CanadaPost.ca delivery certificate, along with a picture (JPG) of my parcel...(I took a picture of my parcel right at the post office after it was all wrapped up and sealed nicely....basically, a pic of its final appearance...)
If you use Gmail then you may embed picture into the body of the text
Try this if the email you sent did not go through because of the attachments
