Glad your parcel finally arrived at CPC-M, Tom! I sent our package from Indonesia (roughly 16,000 km from Canada!) and I started worrying when our parcel still hadn't arrived at CPC-M by day 5! Thankfully it did on day 8 though. I can imagine how your 18 day ordeal must've felt like!

Little did I know that I would be facing an even bigger issue. This is the January 2013 spreadsheet, and as you can see, it's been 34 days since our parcel arrived at CPC-M, and I still haven't got an AOR! In fact I'm literally the only January 2013 applicant (at least in that spreadsheet) who hasn't got an AOR :(

I'm starting to fear that these guys might've lost my parcel just like they supposedly did Elevid's!

Exactly. If my application took 4 weeks instead of 2 I would still be "crying" about it even though it got there and I would be celebrating. This is just subjective. Even if it didn't get lost there is still the right to "complain". ;) :D

Elevid was definetelly very unlucky and we all feel very bad for her situation! Lightning does not fall in the same place twice!
I will ask you something that is common and has been asked by anyone here! Have you checked your spam folder? (I am certain that you did)

If I were you I will write them asap and refer my message to the incident of another applicant that they have lost her package.
Sometimes we have to take drastic measures when it comes to touch our lives and our sanity.
Do not wait a minute more and take action!
Are you at least in Canada now. If you are it would be much easier to get info! So go ahead and get them!
Let me know how it went!

Good luck, Tom

Unfortunately, lightning does, contrary to the myth, often strike the same place, many times. Ask the Empire State Building!

I hope this doesn't happen here because we also are waiting for an AOR. Package was delivered 22/02/2013...

We have tried to "hedge our bets" by getting duplicates of PCC and some other docs, just in case, but it will be very expensive to restart. For example, do you have to take medicals again or will a copy of the IMM 1017B be OK, assuming that one was taken? We scanned EVERYTHING before sending it off to CPC-M.

No, since medicals are just the information that gets passed onto the visa office - not a document per se, you won't have to redo the medical. But that same medical information that gets passed onto the visa office is valid for one year only - and you will have to redo the exam if or when the 12 months are gone and your app isn't finalized.

So sorry to hear this! You should contact them immediately! They are already processing applications received on January 29th, so it's pass your time.

Just to note everyone: In my previous comment I wasn't referring to anyone with application lost by CPC-M, but by the postal office. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Good luck with your application!!

Yup! I check my inbox and spam folders 20 times per day! ;D

Indeed hopefully the lightning didn't strike me... =(. According to CanadaPost.ca, the package did arrive at Mississauga on 30 Jan...I even have the delivery certificate with me now, which also has the name and signature of the person who signed for it (an "A SANAN")...so for my parcel to be literally lost, there would have to be someone who came there and stole it somehow...!

Since the past 2 weeks I've called the call centre 5 times (yesterday was my last one) and the agents said that they had nothing on their system yet, and they saw no indication that they had sent me an AOR! And I asked yesterday's agent whether they would make a note on their system if they had returned my package, which he said yes, and then he confirmed that he saw no note about our package being returned, which is at least a good thing...!

What's so discouraging is the fact that they keep telling me that they're currently still working on apps arriving on 29 Jan (as per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp ), so according to them, I'm still okay since mine arrived on 30 Jan (according to Canada Post tracking).
Well, not so okay for me, since all other January applicants got their AOR and even SA already. And I see that many Feb applicants got their AOR and even some SA already...!!

Yes thankfully at least I'm in Canada now...so it's easier (and cheaper) to call the call centre...

I'm starting to wonder whether my 6,4 kg package scares them...!

You know what...the CIC does have a physical address right....(the Robert Speck one), I wonder if I should just show up there and find out what's going on!

How do I write them? Email them at CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca?

Not past my time, according to the CIC... =(. See, mine arrived on 30 Jan, so in their eyes, I'm still doing fine as they're still processing apps arriving on 29 Jan......

Totally agree.....I wonder if we'd have to redo the medical exam...

Then get the police certificate again...(took my wife 1 month to get hers!)

Then we'd still have to translate and certify the documents...

And my huge package (6,4 kg / 14 lbs) took literally months to compile.....

Arghhh!!!

I asked for their email address from London VO because I only knew their email address.. and the response was: CPC-M does not have any email address where people could contact them. Seems weird and I'm not sure if they just didn't want to give it to me..?!

Yes either that, or the person simply had no clue about the email address =P

I'm thinking of writing them at that address, and I was just wondering if they accept email attachments...?!

I'm planning to submit a PDF document of the CanadaPost.ca delivery certificate, along with a picture (JPG) of my parcel...(I took a picture of my parcel right at the post office after it was all wrapped up and sealed nicely....basically, a pic of its final appearance...)

True. :)

I would assume they accept email attachments. At least it would make the process faster because all the evidence would be there already. They could start looking for your application right away. The picture is a good idea, because they can try to track it down by that too, if there is something differing it from others. :)
