seniors please help! received MR BUT.......

hello seniors,


I am an engineer and I have (3 years) work experience as an industrial electrician (I was actually underemployed but i had to survive). My points are 71, my EILTS score is 7.5 (16 points for language) I got my MR a few days ago, so far so good.

I also received some request for the following additional documents:
1. Certification as Industrial Electrician
2. PCC for me and my wife
3. Further evidence of employment such as payslips etc.
4. Evidence of Company incorporation and registration.

2,3,4 are not a problem, I have that in hand. However, my problem is that in my country there is no special certification for industrial electricians. As an engineer I had no problem carrying out the job duties of an electrician and i have been doing it for over three years. and I thought that is what matters.

DO YOU THINK THAT I CAN GET A REFUSAL BECAUSE OF THIS?

this situation has spoiled my MR celebrations.

I will appreciate your input and suggestions

dont you have any educational certificates? It appears VO is satisfied with your JD thus the MR. So send them any edu certs that you have. I believe the explanation given above will suffice.

I have a bachelor degree and a master degree in engineering. I have sent that in my original application (i have full points for education).
MR is what is giving my hope. I used to think that getting MR means that VO is satisfied and at least 67 points are given.
I choose to be optimistic but I can't stop worrying.

I dont see any probs in u case at all, if there were any, u wudnt hv recvd medicals.

any way, collect all ur docs together, bundle and send them.

they are jst seeking updated docs, nthn else.

one more thing I wud like to add, get an updated letter from ur current employer
certifying that u r doing above said job.

Can you provide evidence that you covered the kind of work you are doing in your engineering education? Is there any professional material that backs up what you said about not requiring specialized training in your country? Try to look at it from the VO angle and provide documentation. Write a cover letter to explain the situation and what proof you are supplying that you were safe to work in this field. I would ask others who have more knowledge of engineering - search for an engineering thread - how the dealt with similar situations. Good Luck, you are nearly there.

dont u think, providing additional docs(Training as indu er.) will intricate the matter.
if they had issue abt that they wudnt have issued him MR.

another thing, in case of some concern, they sud hv sent me a procedural fairness letter instead of MR.

in my opinion, they are quite okay with everything, they hv jst asked for updated docs.
it wud be nice if he sends them an updated letter from his current employer.

First, you should not be worried, when they send MR it means that visa is approved.

Second, you are an engineer with Masters degree, this -probably- has confused VO that you are claiming yourself a Industrial technician. You have to clear this doubt by sending any certificate that you could do this job effectively. Or co-relate your degree courses that you had learnt this subject in University by sending course details (that you passed successfully). Or get updated experience certificate from your employer mentioning your ind. technician duties.

Last,, search net for Canadain Industrial technician certification, find out equivalent in your home country. Try to match your education with same course. I hope there should be some certification for this NOC in your country too!

what were there reasons of rejection for those who got MR. was it point related? or medical condition or security related?
