Hello,

I had a few questions before I submit my student visa application to the Canadian Embassy here in Pakistan, and I'd really appreciate some guidance from you experienced ones out there:

1. I was terminated from one of the places I was working at, so I do not have an experience letter from that place. Should I include it in the Employment Section of my application or should I omit it altogether? I dint get to work there for long, only 4 months.

2. I have a signed affidavit from my mother that states that she is a secondary sponsor for my studies/living there in Canada. The affidavit documents the funds and property she has, and that I take care of her property for her. Is there any other way I can show more concrete ties with my home country (Pakistan)?

This is the first time I am posting here, so kindly ignore any mistakes to the format :)

Eagerly looking forward to hearing from you all,

Kind Regards,
Aficionado

Is someone going to assist or am I simply wasting my time here?

1. No, don't show that experience which you can not prove. As you don't have documentary proof of your working for a company then it is probably best you shouldn't highlight it. Secondly, as you were fired then this will also impact negatively on your file.

2. As your mom is secondary sponsor then who is the primary sponsor of your study? Yes showing property is one of the best home ties one can show. If you have the property on your mother's name then you should write an affidavit stating that you are a share holder in that property and your mother will support you for your studies. Attach supporting documents of that property and Property evaluation stating the current market value of these assets.

In future post your queries on the following link for a quick response:

Thank you Inam for your reply, I was beginning to doubt this forum. My primary sponsor is going to be my sister, and Mum is going to be a secondary sponsor. I have a standard affidavit stating that my mother is my secondary sponsor and that she has some land which I take care of. This brings a couple of other questions:

1. Is it necessary to show that I am a shareholder in the property? If so, how do I show that?

2. The "Property Evaluation" you mentioned; how do I go about that? Never had the property evaluated as yet actually.

Looking forward,
Kind Regards,
A.

1. No, it is not necessary to provide any other documentary proof. You should just mention it in the affidavit that you are looking after your mother's property and will return back to look after it.

2. Property evaluation is the document that gives the current market value of your property. You can do this evaluation from a registered property dealer, CA firm etc.

which city are you from?

You can do it from Civic center in Karachi,

Hi,
I think if you were terminated than the company will not give you experience letter and for gap of 4 months no need to show any experience letter........student having gap more than one year can face difficulty in getting visa..

You can show the balance in the bank , F.Ds in your or your parents name....its suffient

Thank you for your replies, we are finally getting somewhere.

The property I am showing is in Murree and has no construction on it as yet - it is just a piece of land. Would I still need a property evaluation certificate?

Also, what do you guys suppose is the best/quickest way of acquiring a property evaluation certificate; the local Patwari, Bank or a CA Firm? And once I have the certificate in hand is it mandatory to have it attested by notary public/guzzeted officer?

Cheers!
A.

1. You need property evaluation to show the current market value as in the Inteqal / transfer paper the prices are usually entered less to pay less taxes. If the value entered in transfer paper is same as current market value then you don't need any evaluation.

2. Local patwaris are infact the right authority to grant this certificate but they will ask for more money. I have my evaluation from a property dealer (govt registered).

3. No you do not require to notarize any original paper/documents, the same applies to property evaluation.

Hi
1.Friend I dont think there is any need of property evaluation if you are genuine student .
I know many student who got their visas none of them showed property evaluation paper but if you have rejection stating that weak home ties than it can be useful if you not having rejection than its useless

2. property evaluation is done for buildings , house ,offices etc but not for land .

3. try to get property evaluation by private architect they will charge you from 500 to 1000 and you can increase your property value...dont go to patwari or any gov sector they will evalute property witth rate of gov which will be very very less.

Thank you Dhilon, this is my first attempt and I dont have any prior rejections. So what you are saying is, I can ignore the property evaluation then? See, here are is the list of documents I am attaching with the application, can you please be kind enough to check whether my application package is complete?

1. Application for a Study Permit made outside Canada (IMM1294)
2. Family information (IMM5645)
3. Application for a temporary visa made outside Canada (IMM5257 -Sch 1)
4. Supplementary Information Form
5. Letter of acceptance from the educational institution
6. Proof of financial support (Affidavits from my Sister and Mother)
7. Fee Payment - Green slip
8. New and old passports (original)
9. Two passport sized photos, according to Photo Specifications
10. My experience letters (original)
11. My affidavit stating that I will return back to home country once my studies are complete
12. My sister's affidavit, stating that she will support me completely during my studies upon completion of which I will return to home country.
13. My mother's affidavit, stating that she is a secondary sponsor and has a land which I look after and will continue to look after once I return from Canada.
14. One page description of why I chose this course and how it will help me with my future plans
15. My Degrees - not attaching my transcripts (originals)
16. My TOEFL score - print out from the website, have not received the original as yet (attested by notary public)
17. My Police Clarence Certificates
18. 2 copies of my valid passport (attested by notary public)
19. 1 copy of my NIC (attested by notary public)

Well as you can see, my application package is rather lengthy and I intend to keep as short and sweet as possible. That is why I am a little reluctant towards having my property evaluation certificate submitted as well. So what do you suppose, is this package good to go?

Please write back soon,
Cheers,
A.

Hi,
Friend I think you are from pakistan so there PPC is needed if from India than not needed.
I add that i am not clear about pakistan but obviously for india it will work 100%

NO need to write why you choose this course...but your course should be relevant to your perivous studies..

Major thing why you didnot attach ielts as in the checklist it is clearly mentioned but do not loose hope students get visa in tofel also but the risk factor is high.

where is your loan and bank statements ...?(most important document needed for visa)

and in which category you applying SPP or GENERAL(university),if you going for general than must remember take addmission in university not college

all important docs are missing in your file ...if you want visa there is only seven docs you need and i hope now you understood.

you will not issue visa by seeing your discription that why you choose this course and with the afftidavits .....BE CAREFUL BUDDY

and i did not understand what is NIC...?

Guri,

Things are different for Pakistan.

Unlike India, Loan is not required for Pakistani student. Infact, no body take loan for visa here.

Unlike India, IELTS/TOEFL is not a requirement for Pakistani students. It is recommended but not a must.

There is no SPP/General categories in Pakistan.
