Hello

I have recently applied for NS under province nomination - Express entry, without job offer.

In the settlement plan, i did mention that my sister is USA CITIZEN and she can help me in integrating with NOVA SCOTIA.

I have seen similar mails from NS in 2015 wherein a intent to refuse has been provided to candidates who mentioned their relatives in another part of Canada or in a different province.

Please provide your opinion with this regard. Usually will it hamper my prospectus of getting State nomination, the assessment officer thinking i may move there (USA) with help of my sister?

Please advise.

NOTE
------
I also mentioned I wanted my parents to be with me in NS.
I declared an assets of 40k canadian dollar in the funds for a single applicant.
when just 11k is sufficient. To provide my i am financial independent.

First - This should be in NS PNP forum instead of creating a new thread.

To answer your question as a successful NS PNP applicant (with 2 sisters in the US), my opinion is that the fact that you have sisters in the US is redundant. Your sister in the US will help you settle in NS.....say at best a "leap" unless there's a specific settlement role she plays. The US is not Canada. And I just fail to see how your sister being in the US helps you choose NS.

I'll not use sister being in the US as basis for making an argument on settlement. Unless there's a special link to NS that makes her being in the US relevant.

Funds are good to go. I will de-emphasize bringing your parents to NS. Are they going to be contributing the the NS economy ? what skills do they have? Yes you can bring them later, but I won't use that to make a case for settlement especially if you're applying under a labor / economic stream. Those streams focus on people that can add economic value,

My two cents

I had to write a follow up settlement plan because the first time I mentioned by sister (in the settlement plan I mailed with my original application). The NSIO asked me specifically after i got my FN.....Why are you moving to Canada , and specifically NS when you have sisters in the US. Why don't you move to the US. I was given 30 days to respond to that

What is FN ?

And if you can send me the followup settlement plan you sent to NS office justifying your intent to settle in Nova Scotia to my private mail

2raju.varun @ gmail.com that will be really helpful.

I very much need your help, based on your inputs..I feel I am screwed ...

Did they send you any intent to refusal mail, then ?

I received my AOR/Completeness Check mail 10 days back, but last few days I have seen candidates receiving Intent to refuse mails due to relatives in other province of Canada during assessment stage.

But based on your inputs, candidates with relatives in USA are in the same risk as above.

Please send me more inputs to me on how to tackle this issue, do you want me to send a Settlement Plan now since i have the case ID of my file.
Or do you want me to wait for their comments..... I am concerned please help..

If you can share your followup mails of settlement plan to my private ID that will be very helpful in countering the relative issue with NS.

If you received your AOR, then you're fine. When you say AOR, is that from CIC or NS? FN in my statement above ..I meant is the AOR equivalent that you get from NS for completeness.

As per the follow up settlement plan, I posted it for everyone to see on the NS2015 PNP forum. I get asked alll the time to email so I just posted it on the forum

I received my AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) from NS and not from CIC.
I had a chance to look at your followup plan and not much was mentioned about your connection with USA, is that ok ?

The settlement plan shared in forum is your initial plan or follow up plan ?

And you did mention few friends you know and networking can you please forward me any mails that will help in supporting my intent to stay in NS.
