Sending vistor visa while waiting for PR

I want to send a vistor visa to my spouse while we wait for his PR. So we can visit back and forth. Would it affect the spousal application? What are the chances of him getting approved?

They can be difficult to obtain as CIC is concerned the applicant will arrive in the country and not leave.

Thats true.
We were thinking once we get approved for sponsership to include that in the application to prove that his immigration is in process?
He has to go back to do his medical, interview, and get his passport stamped
Would it help or prolong our application?

If he got the visitor visa, he does not need to go back to do his medical or get his passport stamped.
Only if an interview is requested, then he needs to travel back to his home country.

It should not affect your PR application but it's unlikely that he will get a visitor visa. But some people did managed to get one with proof of very strong tie to their home country and good travel history.

Agree, medicals can be done by any panel approved CIC physician.

I say visitor visa's are difficult to get and it is true. In my experience my husband got two extremely easily, but we were a different case. He had already lived in Canada for a number of years on work permits and got a visitor visa while still inside Canada to extend his stay so we could apply. Also from a visa exempt country.

Oh i assumed he would have to go back for that..
Hes allowed to travel anywhere in Europe but cannot stay longer than 3 months and hes always obeyed that. That could be used for good travel history?
