Sending passports to ccp-ottawa from outside Canada please help !!

Good morning
Can you guys share info is have been in this situation.
Ccp-ottawa requested my passports I am un my homecountry (Mexico)
What I know so far is that I can send my passports to a friend in Canada and he can send them to ottawa with a prepaid envelope inside to receive them back.
My question is he have to put his name in the envelopes or have to be my name on it??
Does he need an authorization from me to receive my passport back from ottawa??
Please share any info thanks.

i am in the same situation, i can not mail my passport to Canada, because my county will not allow it.

my friend was in same situation. He send an email to cpp-ottawa that `he is in home country and cannot send his passport.They have send letter and advised to summit passport in home country embassy so he has summited in islamabad pakistan got his passport stamped now in canada.

Please send email explaining your situation that you cannot send your passport out of country and what you want to explain then they will advise you how to proceed

really? this worked for him? he got it stamped? if that is the case this is amzing news.
because many countries do not allow courier servicing.

Yes, you can request CIC that your country doesnt allow sending passport via courier/post. Then they will request you to submit the passports to canadian embassy in your home country and get them stamped with visa.

I got it done same way, i am from India

I didn't even bother with all this, I just bought a Canadian Birth Certificate from someone and then applied for a passport, It costed me 500 dollars. The guy I got it from was someone named Jann. I payed 500 through western union and after 2 days I got my Canadian documents and flew here with no issues. Dont waste your time applying through the government. They wont help you if your Chinese. Jason Kenney is a racist.

Just wondering, did you guys submitted your PR application while living in Canada or from India? Did you select Delhi, India as your visa office in the application form or CPP-Ottawa?

Here are the steps

1. When i got an email from them to submit the passports to CPP Ottawa. I explored all the option to send like the passports, options like sending with friend or get a authorization letter from MHA to send it via courier etc. But while exploring the options, in parallel i mailed CPP Ottawa that in our passports its written that passport should not be couriered outside the country and whether its possible for me to submit the passports in Canadian embasssy in my home country.
They responded back in a week that arrangements have made for my file in Canadian embassy in my home country so that i can submit my passports here.

2. In the same email, they mentioned 2 ways to send the passports to Canadian Embassy in my home country. One is i courier them personally, in this case it takes 40 days for the passports to be returned after stamping. Second way is i send them through VFS Canada office, in this case it takes only 10 days to get the passports back after stamping.

3. I sent through VFS Canada, i got my passports stamped on 10th day. I got an SMS on my registered cellphone number that passports are ready collect. I collected them from VFS office and i have the visa stamped till May 2014.

4. Now i am making arrangements to land in Canada within that time period.

Last but not least, Can we submit any VFS branch in India?

I was filed my PR application in Canada before I left, However I have choosen my visa office as NEW DELHI in my application.

I have filed on Aug-2012 and waiting for next step.....except AOR and RCMP nothing is received so far ...
