Thanks Lot New2can for your kind response. I really appreciated your detailed steps.

Last but not least, Can we submit any VFS branch in India?

I was filed my PR application in Canada before I left, However I have choosen my visa office as NEW DELHI in my application.

I have filed on Aug-2012 and waiting for next step.....except AOR and RCMP nothing is received so far ...

thanks
Yes, any "VFS Canada" branch in India (i submitted in a VFS Canada office in my city), but remember to submit the passport to VFS Canada only when they asked you to do so i.e., if you receive an email that you can submit your passports in your home country for visa stamping.

Hi Kum1234,

My case is similar to yours. I applied in Canada and then returned to India. ( New delhi as the VO).

Please can you guide how you got the RCMP done in India ??

Thanks

Hi,

I have done in India for finger print form please check the website - jkconsultancy.in and they charge around 4000 RS..

Once you take the finger print form then you can send scanned form to fingerscan.ca agency.

this agency is authorised agency who can do submission electronically to RCMP and total processing for them 5 to 8 working days. you can see complete details in thier website along with fee.

After you sending the scanned copy to them then format looks good then they will ask you to post the finger print form along with credit card form..etc which can be known once u write an eamil to them.

2) Do we need to pay any additional fee to VFS brach for providing this service?
3) Can you please let me know what all documents we need to take to VFS?

1) Do we need to call VFS branch and take an appointment for submitting the passports after we receive the PPR from CIC?

No need of an appointment, visit them in the working hours and submit the passports. More details at http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/

2) Do we need to pay any additional fee to VFS brach for providing this service?

Yes, its Rs 1200 per passport. They accept ONLY cash.

3) Can you please let me know what all documents we need to take to VFS?

All the documents (including passports) as requested by CIC in their email for visa stamping and cash to pay for the service. All the details are mentioned on their website. one more important thing is they dont allow any food items (including tiffin box with food, if its empty then its fine i.e., if u r visiting them after ur lunch) and laptops inside their office. So dont carry them while visiting VFS or make an arrangment to leave them outside the office with someone you know.

Hi new2can,

I got PPR from Ottawa on Sept-06, I am in Canada and my dependents in
India since its very clear that sending passports outside India is illegal so
I have sent mail on Sept-07 to CPP explaining the situation and requested
to allow us submission of passports in Canadian embassy at Delhi.

Its already one week passed but have not receive any reply from CPP.
My case is similar to you but only the thing I am in Canada now and
my dependents are in India where as PPR is to submit all passports
at Ottawa which is highly impossible.

I would be more happy if I receive mail from CPP same like you
requesting to submit passports in India at least by next week but
I am very much worried what the action they are going to take on
my file and time given is 60 days in which already 10 days passed.

Could you please tell me that you received mail exactly in one week
and any advise to me. Waiting for your response in anticipation. (ksv91)

Hi ksv91,

yes, i got the response within a week. But it was in June, i guess there was no strike then. What i heard recently is there is a employee strike which might delay things and also their decision varies case to case basis as per my observation.

If i were in your situation, then parallelly i would explore getting dependent passports to Canada (may be through friend's or relatives or friend's friend etc whoever is travelling to Canda) and then submit all the passports to Ottawa for stamping. Remember, person carrying passports will need authorization letter from passport holder.

Good Luck.

i am in the same situation, i can not mail my passport to Canada, because my county will not allow it.
i am not sure what the options are?
1) Go to a country and mail your passport from a country that allows it to send passports by mail to a friend residing in Canada and he/she forwards it to cpp-ottawa and then sends it back to you in that country

2) Friend or relative takes your passport to canada with an authorization letter from you and brings it back

3) Request Cpp-ottawa to stamp your passport in the country you are residing (Few people have done it from India, but highly unadvised as it takes them time)
