Sending passport from USA to Canada

I just sent mine with with no issues yesterday (and it was signed for today) using FedEX. Did you make an online account with FedEx?

I was able to do a commercial invoice by in the packaging & shipment detail section:
package contents - documents
document description - immigration papers
Shipment purpose - personal use
Total customs value - $1.00

This then generated a commercial invoice for me. I also clicked 'create a return label' so that it was all done at once.

can you please get through the steps to follow generate the return label.

Are you just doing a return label? Or also the label to Canada.

in the package & shipment details section there is a box you can check that says 'include return label' and it will generate the return label for you. It makes the process very simple.

I created a Fedex shipment account, After creating labels, I got a notification that this shipment is void. Not sure if its because we mentioned as immigration papers.What to do?

You need to create shipping and return shipping labels through fedex online account and take it to them. Ask them to give manual commercial invoices since the value is $1.

What do you give as for phone number in the To address? Also, in the contact name box? The total customs value is given as $1 right? Under document description I can give it as just documents? Under billing, the taxes and duties should be billed to the sender right? Basically only the From, to and package details needs to be filled right?

For the return label I do not see pick up date, pick up options at all. In package description it has taken the value as correspondence/no custom value. and shipment type as commercial so I do get a invoice for the return as well. Under the rates section though it says the delivery date as 14th Feb 2020 in this case. Does it matter what it shows there? The return label doesn't expire right?

I used this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...sport/cross-border-shipment-instructions.html and used the fedex link from that where I can create either an outward shipment or a return label. I created a return label using that. I can use the same to create an outward shipment right. That should also be good right?

Hello - Does anyone know where we can get the passport photos for Canada clicked? Requirement is 2 inch x 2 3/4 inch and the name and address of the photographer should be mentioned on the back.
I checked a couple of places, but they only have 2 inch x 2 inch.

@Aj.nayak We went to a professional photographer as many suggested that photos from CVS, Walgreens etc would be rejected.
You can even search in yelp or google and research about photo studios who has experience in taking photos for Canada visa/passport.

FedEx has one of the worst websites ever designed in the whole history of humankind. It took me nearly an hour over the phone with one of their customer service agent to successfully create an international shipping label along with return label!! The best thing is to call them and they will instruct you in a detailed way about the whole process. P.S: Even they know how messed up their website is. Peace.
