Sending passport from USA to Canada

I got a passport request from IRCC for PR, and sending my passport through Fedex. In the drop off/pick up option, which should I chose?

In the link of Cross border shipment instructions-

it is mentioned to check this option- "Use an already scheduled pick up location", but I haven't used Fedex before this. Can I use "Drop off at Fedex location" Have anyone used this before?

I am in the same boat. UPS and Fedex wont accept a pre-paid return envelope. There was another option to send from Canada. So i sent the package to my family and they sent from Canada ( i attached a letter explaining why). Two weeks later, i received an email asking to Verify location. I replied with same info, We are in the US, we sent from Canada. No word yet.

Anybody know what is the turn around time?

I took mine to ups and they did not give me a commercial invoice claiming I didn’t need it because I’m sending a photocopy of my passport.. will I have issue?

Hello, based on an email from Centralized Intake Office IRCC, Canada for Passport Request for Permanent Residence , I mailed my passport from US thru Fedex on 24th June 2024, and this was delivered to CPCO Ottawa by June 25th. It was signed by J.JOE.

Now, it has been more than 3 weeks and I have not heard anything via email or seen any updates or Approval on GC Key. Now I am getting worried as I have an international travel coming up in August, 2024.

Anyone who has similar experience, please kindly share and suggest what should I do? Where can I track my passport status? Is this delay normal ? Your response would be highly Appreciated.

Mine took three weeks from the USA to Ottawa. The delay is normal for some, but it can take months if you check their office's reviews.

Understood. But is there a formal way to track your passport movement or expected date of receiving it?

I renewed my passport hile the PR was in the process, Now I got a PPR request. Should I send my latest passport or both passports? Please help me.

What shall we choose for terms of sale? - Free Carrier?
What shall we choose for Canada Export Information? - Declaration will be printed and attached?
And for the return commercial invoice from CPCO TO ME, the signature is typed in CPCO, how can I change it to myself and signed it?

I have submitted the package as per the instructions provided on Sep 12 including passport, shipping label, commercial invoice, Annex A, a return envelope and explanation letter. I received an email from IRCC on Sep 23 asking for commercial invoice again.

Need Help Please !

We received Passport submission request in early July 2024 for my mothers PGP application.

She is US Green card holder and permanent address given is of USA. Now immediately after we received the request to submit passport she was planning to visit me in Canada, so we submitted the passport to CPCO Ottawa PO Box address as mentioned in the request, once she was in Ontario.

Now its over 13 weeks have not received the passport. Agents in call center just have one answer to wait. Some say that since applicant was in Canada when passport was sent, its a virtual landing process, buts still no solution as to when and how can we get passport back, if sent by mistake.

I did fill the urgent passport retrieval email twice but no progress.

I am stuck, mom needs to travel to USA and we or agents have no clue as to when, where and why passport is stuck.

What to do next?

Tried reaching out local MPP but waiting on response.

Any email or contact address or phone number for CPCO Ottawa?
