Self Sponsoring // GIC

Hi Guys
I am self sponsoring my education in Canada,

I am applying from India through VFS (Mumbai) - University option

Are my bank statements enough for the application or I still need to get the GIC done

GIC is preferable but there are people who get visa without GIC. so it just depends on the time you have.

does this mean you can apply without the passport


My background: applied in Kuwait (abu-dhabi visa office)... got rejected ..
so applying from India this time .. with the missing stuff (the study plan and documents showing ties with India)
the only reason i am applying from india is because of shorter processing time; 3 weeks as opposed to 10 weeks

honestly the indian application process is driving me crazy

i means that i submitted by passports when i went to submit my application.
