Self employment, does CHC ask for more than enough funds?

Dear all,

I am going to submit few docs related to my previous job experiences from 2005 to date in the UK. I am going to enclose a letter explaining how self employment can help Canada's economy and also I would like to open self business. I already showed Canadian High Commisson the required amount for principal applicant. Although self employment is required more amount. Can anyone tell me if I enclose that letter is CHC going to ask for more amounts as proof of funds?

Anyone's help will be greatly appreciated.

Which category did u apply? FSW or Business Class?

If in FSW, u'll have a tough time explaining your job situation as they'd doubt any such docs that u supply, viewing it t be concocted. Funds position remain the same as per the CIC guideline... the 'No. of family members' table.

If under Business Class, there is a requirement of pre-loading $400K. I'm sure u have read thru the guides.

Hi Rni, i think funds are still same for the principal applicant.i guess u applied under FSW.Yes of course u still can explain abt self employment.CHC wants to make sure u can economically establish urself in tht country,doesn't matter u take employment or open self business.
