Good day everyone, I recently discovered this forum and I am very impressed by the assistance offered by the members so I registered and currently seeing advise on the following.
I was accepted into the Express Entry pool in February of this year and after just recently updating my partner's IETLS results, my CSR is currently at 439. She is currently doing her Masters but has a BSC so we have considering having her complete the WES scoring of that which would result in additional 8 points being awarded, taking us to 447.
We were told by a friend that above 450 is the ideal score to aim for to stand a better chance of being selected so we are considering the following:
Having her create a profile with her as the main applicant; given that she is 29 and I am 34, she would gain an additional 25 marks compared to me being the main applicant. I have however completed my MBA so I would get a higher score than her there but not by as much as she gains for age.
By our calculations, doing this would push us over the 450 mark. My concern however is that seeing I have been in the pool since February, withdrawing my application to have her submit a new one as the main resets our clock.
1) Do you think that we can maintain separate profiles with each named as a spouse on the other's application?
2) Do you think we should just continue with the plan of having her complete WES and sticking to the score of 447?
Thanks in advance for your help.
