Security checks for TRV

Hello everyone!
I would like an advice please. I have applied for a TRV and I have worked before in lawenforcement.
i have received an email from the embassy that required some additional information about my ex service.
I guess they are doing security checks, which I find normal, due to my background. I have no idea how long will they take.
Does anyone on this forum applied for a TRV as a former military or police officer and how long did they have to wait?
I appreciate any advice!

They do conduct background checks. If you're still working, did you include a NOC from your employer (the government org you work for)? That usually helps

I was a policeman. I left the police service three years ago.
