Please can someone explain to me further on Section 205?
I have a friend that is asylum claimant, she is currently waiting for her hearing and she had 3 kids.
But she want change her status from asylum claimant by buying a franchise and investing money so that she can apply for PR.
Please is it possible.

It's not possible.

To apply for PR through an economic immigration stream, she must have valid status in Canada. Since she is an asylum claimant, she is not classified as having valid status in Canada.

If she wants to apply for PR through an economic immigration stream by buying a franchise, she would need to withdraw her asylum application, return to her home country and then apply from there.

Applying from Canada is unfortunately not an option.
