Dear Friends,
Can anybody help with info about the following question.
Is it true that someone should pay 6 months deposit to rent an search for accommodation. If it is apartment - will it be around 1300 CAD*6???
Hi, this is not in all cases. It depends on the individual landlord or management of the property you are interested in. Some property owners, demand for full payment upfront, some will accept post dated checks, yet others will accept just 2 months rent, that is the first and last months rent even when you don't have credit history and employment offer.
I searched for accommodation in Mississauga, Ontario last year until I found a place where they waived the credit history and employment details requirements. They accepted my offer of paying 3 months rent upfront but eventually only collected 2 months from me. I believe they were convinced that I would be able to meet my monthly rent payments and land a job quickly. They were right
So I suggest you land and try many different rental opportunities until you find one that fits your circumstance.
