True, In any ways I have to repeat IELTS as its going to be expired. That's a guessing, and inevitably, a waiting game. I also applied for EE back in 2021 with 456 CRS but I decided to go the student route because I'm 28. I'm sure the CRS will come down but by when and whether you're willing to gamble is up to you.
The original question from the person, who already has a LOA from a college with IELTS-General, was whether to take IELTS-Academic too. If person has LOA already, then Academic is not necessary.

But my program choice has made me too much confused. If I have chosen right one or not.
One clarification I required : I have chosen : post graduate certificate program, I have masters tho . I chose as I wanted specialisation in Project management. Do you thing I made a wrong choice here.
I mean do I had to choose PHD ?
I got the LOA from college myself. But then I stuck between applying and then adding a consultant. Are you working with a consultant? Most cases of applicants being refused here have the same program: Project Management. It could be either because their agents are receiving compensation from colleges for that course or because it's a generic course that makes sense for a lot of backgrounds. However, you have to be mindful that there is no right or wrong program if you are able to provide evidence as to why you decided to take it. Sure, if you have a bachelor, going for a master increases your chances, or if you have a master, going for a PHD. However, at the end of the day it all comes down to how well you explained in your SOP how the chosen program fits with your profile.
this one I think is a bit trickier than simply listening to what the agent has to say or what the IRCC website mentions - my sister had the IELTS General result with great scores, and her agent mentioned that the IELTS Academic is necessary for visa approval. The truth was somewhere in the middle as her educational institution did not list IELTS General as an acceptable form of English proficiency - it had to be the IELTS Academic test.
However, is there any one who applied for one year PG certificate with having master's from India and have got their VISAS?
Replied will be much appreciated.
Hi, For what studies did you apply?Congratulation ..that was super quick.
The fact that agents lie (no idea why) is a totally different angle. Hence, I said in the middle. I've been on these forums a long, long time and I see far too often people looking for easy answers without doing their own research. The answer is not in the middle. IRCC accepts as valid the General IELTS.
It is another thing completely what your college or university accepts as valid, and that requirement varies from one DLI to another.
Where to order gcms notes? Can someone please help me with by sharing authorised website link where i can order GCMS notes.
Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Online Request (apps.gc.ca)
Is this the correct link to apply gcms notes from India?
yep. hence, you need both. You may or may not - I am assuming you do - need two different test results. IELTS Academic is the safest option for all purposes when going down the student route. IELTS General may or may not cut it. The agents though talk pure drivel. My sister had a Duolingo test result (college accepted it) and IELTS General (which would've been enough), and yet she got conned into writing IELTS Academic because she should have researched better. In her case, the answer was down the MIDDLE - she needed two results. IELTS General was not enough. The answer is not in the middle. IRCC accepts as valid the General IELTS.
