SDS 2022 Processing Time

I had applied for my student visa on 9th may 2022; My medical got updated on 15th August after three and half months of giving it upfront on 28th April.
Any idea how long it could take for me to hear back on my application now?
Also I have enrolled in Mohawk college for sept intake, but haven’t received any last day yet to submit the visa proof. What happens if I am unable to submit it by the last date, do they automatically defer me to the jan intake or cancel my registration?

Which country did you apply from?
You should speak to your college as soon as possible and ask them about your (a) visa proof deadline, (b) deferral notification deadline, (c) deferral options. Every college and university have their own policies on all of these three. No one here can answer you for sure, but your college will be able to. Good luck! BTW, I'm also 8 May applicant, upfront medical updated June 29, still waiting just like you

I did raise a webform asking all these questions, but haven’t heard back. It’s been 2 weeks already.
Don't wait for their reply. I've sent 3 webforms already. The reply to the first one came in 5 weeks, to the second one in 8 weeks and to the third one it's been almost 5 weeks already and no reply yet. The webforms don't change a thing and don't speed up the process in any way. The reason I sent the first two is because I was too naive in my first three weeks of waiting (That time I still believed in SDS). Those two replies were automated, the ones they send to everyone. The reason I sent the third one is because I had a specific question about one document I need to update, but as of now I haven't heard back.

Can't say it feels great to know that IRCC is delaying Fall applicants because they are busy processing January ones, but at least they are doing something. This is about the situation in general. Have you mentioned it anywhere on your application (explaining in SOP and putting "YES" to the question of "Have you ever applied for entry to Canada" or something on one of the forms)? I'm asking because I'm reading conflicting views as to whether it is a good idea to have both EE and SP application since they sort of contradict each other.
If Medical updated wait for at least 10 days, u might get early if you are lucky. Some time they will update BVL in 4-5 days, then again wait for final PPR, which might come in another 2-3 days. No pattern, but seeing this in my Son case.
At this point IRCC is just acting like an arrogant bully - congrats to all the fellas from Jan 23 intake who are getting their approvals but how the hell does it make sense to delay fall applicants and jump to Jan directly? Such a nerve-wracking experience. Countries smaller than canada are processing their permits faster! SmH
With this message, I just need to forget about my application for now, and start thinking of deferment, I submitted my application on 27th June with no upfront medical .. still waiting on medical examination request… ..

Hey! I'm sorry you're still waiting to hear back; the despair I felt the entire waiting time was gut-wrenching and I would never wish that on anyone except perhaps my ex lol. I'm kind of glad they stuck to the FCFS policy because I would have hated to wait till Sept or Oct only to find out I was rejected and that now, I'd have to defer and apply again. But hey, everything turned out great.Congratulations!

In response to your question, I only mentioned my EE details in the mandatory PDF form one has to fill that asks for your personal details, education, work history, etc. It was on the 'Background Information' section where they ask "Have you ever applied to enter or remain in Canada" where I replied with how I applied in June 2021 but withdrew in April 2022. In my SOP, I didn't mention this at all.
It's nothing to worry about (despite all the Quora people scaring the bejesus out of me) because I read about the 'Dual Intent' rule (LINK HERE). It put things in perspective and I applied anyway cuz since EE was on hold, I had nothing to lose.
Another thing to add here is that I also have a sister (married) who is a permanent resident in Canada. I was informed that having relatives or immediate family members in Canada works against your attempts to prove you have ties back home but it didn't work against me, even though I was thinking of omitting that entirely. Thank God I didn't.
