If a PR Candidate(applying PR under one stream) has changed their social media usernames (such as on Facebook, Instagram, etc.) multiple times to another username or has disabled their accounts(before sending documents) , could this have a generally negative effect on screenings such as background checks, security assessments, or information sharing or other types of checking?

Regards

negative effect? I doubt it. it's your right to use whatever name you want. If it can delay your screening (security clearance) May be.

I don't even have social media unless you count WhatsApp. I doubt they check for that stuff at all.

unlike the US who asks specifically for your username on EVERY social media platform
thanks , In an article I read stated that your information will be shared with the Five Eyes alliance. So, my question is specifically whether there is any possibility of privacy breaking through the checking of private account contents(Contents of private account is not showed to the public). However, as long as your content is relevant to you and does not impact your visa duration, it should not pose a problem.:)

Yes, actually IRCC asks CSIS to conduct a search and they are part of the 5E Alliance. And the nature of your content may be scrutinized (if another agency has collected information on your online activities and posts and raised a red flag) if you use to post stuff that are considered threatening to Canadians. Like for example if you post to blow up a Canadian city, you may expect to have your application denied.

No, unless you did something that was worth worrying about. No flags would be generated.
