i dont know about the deadline...but you should submit your file before 30th as there will be a rush of files after that....rohit53 said:

No brother, but i think b/c i did the transfer from kotak mahendra, mine got processed a little earlier. But if you do have the wire transfer copy, send it, after all we won't lose anything by sending it to them!praveen717 said:

major problem
I did the wire transfer to GIC on 21st Nov from HDFC bank in Chennai. The bank people said they would be able to give a receipt on 26th Nov Monday.. HDFC bank deducted the money from my account on the 21st itself. So i went today to get the receipt from HDFC and now they say that the HDFC Mumbai headquarters has declined the wire transfer and they did not intimate HDFC Chennai. There is no time for me to fight with HDFC bank. So i just asked them transfer the money today and get the receipt and they said they'll do it. I just took a xerox copy of the HDFC form which i filled on 21st Nov for wire transfer to scotiabank. It also has HDFC seal which says 21st nov.
So if i email this copy to scotiabank and explain this will they be able to process the transaction? Or if anyone could give me an alternative way to get this done it would be more helpful??

why didnt you just take loan against fd. anyway, just send hdfc receipt i guess with application.
@Praveen: Buddy, since HDFC sent the money after the deadline, it will be really late till you get a receipt from Scotiabank. Just give the HDFC Bank Wire Confirmation along with a letter explaining you situation. It will do, i guess!
@Josh21 - taking a loan against FD is gonna take time mate. Because right now the fund is with scotia bank and i won't be able to deposit so much money to my account immediately. I should have stopped HDFC from doing wire transfer on 26th November and tried for loan immediately, my bad. I was so pissed off that i couldn't think clearly.
@rohit53 - Thanks a lot bro. What you say seems to be a good idea. I have already asked for a letter from HDFC bank that the mistake is from their end and they said they would give me that letter. I thought i can send a copy of this letter to scotiabank via email but i guess i can file this letter along with HDFC receipt for visa processing itself. Will this work out??
