Hello Friends,

I need an urgent help. I am currently working as a 'Financial Services Officer' and my NOC is 6235. I started working from January 2013 till present after completing my studies in August 2012. I was also working on contract as a Sales Representative for 4 months from Sept 2012 to December 2012, however the company is shut down and i dont have a job experience letter too and I also do not want to show the experience. Any suggestions, what if I "DO NOT" mention the experience, however the earnings for those 4 months would be mentioned on my Income Tax Returns.

Please assist..... Or let me know if I elaborate it more..

Thanks!

I think you need to mention that 4 months experience in schedule 8. But, for the CEC application, you need to prove the experience based on which you are applying for CEC, in your case....Financial Services Officer with NOC-6235. So, I dont think you need to prove that experience, I mean Sales Representative. Seniors, please correct me if I am wrong.
Anyways, do you have a ROE for Sales Representative job??

I would suggest to write the 4 months experience in the schedule 8. In the cover letter, clearly mention that the organization does not exist now and that you cannot provide an experience letter for that experience.

Hey guys!

I also work as a financial sales I have been here for 7 months now in Canada and I have 12 months experience as a credit adjudicator in the UK do you think I am good to apply as the Come to Canada wizard says that I am not eligible without 12 months experience in Canada.....

Thanks a lot for your response. And as per the new rules, the category of Sales Representative is not in the NOC anymore. So i believe there wouln't be any problem as i have one year full time work experience as FSR under NOC 6235 and if a mention a cover letter explaining the same. Please advise!

The wizard us right, you have to have one year exp in CANADA. Your UK exp does not count for CEC.

But how about for Skilled worked? As I believe credit adjudicator is in skill type a or b and it just says you have to have 12 months experience in the last 3 years.....

As long as you have 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada, you are fine - assuming you meet the criteria... 30 hours per week etc!

Do not try to hide any info related to your application. Not having a ref. letter for the 4 months you worked in another position - detail it in the forms. Provide a cover note with the application outlining that the company has shut and you cannot get a ref. letter for this position as a result.

No big deal. However, lying/eliminating material info = misrepresentation = ban from Canada.

Good luck.

It is skilled, but the point is it was not gained in Canada. Read the form again where it said list all exp for last 3 years in CANADA. This is the fundamental requirement of CEC.

FSW is not Canada specific.

However CEC - Canadian experience class, is!
